  1. Nice game boys, never say die! Oh and Drake with the W... LOVE the Drake!
  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA It was true when he said it. Lotta people using hindsight to try and prove someone wrong. I tried to quote my own post... not sure how I did that. I apologize, I wasn’t trying to be a jerk at all.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA What the heck... I quoted my own post... sorry MoreTrife
  4. On pace to OPS .000 with 162 RBI Braun has an OPS of .125 already with his walk yesterday. Sorry to be a bummer. Doh! Too bad, that would have been so cool...
  5. So we’re judging players by one game now? If that’s the case, we clearly lost the Yelich trade. Stearns is such an idiot.
  6. I'm at work and can't link twitter on my computer but Adam Shefter is reporting that he thinks it was easiest to release Nelson and re-sign to a cheaper contract since he was willing to take less.
  7. I’m thinking it will take 5/100+. I don’t see him settling for 4 years... it will be interesting.
  8. Clancy, is that you?
  9. I appreciated all of what HH shared. My only recommendation would have been to just drop nuggets when you have a hot scoop and not share all of the intermediate thoughts and offers, it just opens you up for criticism when a deal falls through or things get stalled. I've seen people on other boards work in this manner and it's very effective and those posters have great credibility. They may post infrequently about nuggets but when they do, you trust it's true. Just my $.02
  10. I don't know. That replay from the back of the end zone on the Clement TD showed the ball was moving but it looked like Clement still had both hands on the ball the entire time. That's not a loss of possession where he has to regain it. I agree, the ball did move with Clement but I thought it moved because he secured/tucked it, he didn't lose control.
  11. The interview on Golic & Wingo made it sound like he was not all too happy. I know there will be a crowd that just says he has no business in coaching decisions but it still could create a rift between Rodgers and management. It's the QB coach's responsibility to develop the QBs and have them ready to play. Hundley's performance is on Van Pelt as much if not more than McCarthy, and that's probably why Van Pelt was let go. Van Pelt wasn't let go, he let his contract run out... I've heard that he was unhappy that the Packers wouldn't let him interview for promotions with other teams, one being an OC position with the Rams in 2015. There is this tidbit in this article: https://www.wtmj.com/sports/green-bay-packers/exclusive-packers-coach-mike-mccarthy-talks-with-wtmj-after-thompson-capers-moves Alex Van Pelt was more a personal choice from a contractual standpoint. He desired to be a free agent after this season, so this is really a product of last year's negotiation. He wants to look at other opportunities," McCarthy told WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News" Thursday
  12. Both of their seats are ice cold. I doubt that MA has given this a second of thought.
  13. We had to give to get, i'm good with the deal... we gave up prospects for a known commodity that is controlled for 5 years and affordable. Now trade Santana for prospects to replenish much of what you gave up.
  14. You may be in the minority but not alone. I've thought he has been terrible for years... probably this millennium. I can't even listen to games on the radio when he's calling it, I'd rather follow along on my phone.
  15. I agree with the thought of not "selling the farm" while acquiring Yelich but I have to believe that a Santana trade will be for prospects that will help fill in what they give up. I don't see getting MLB pitching back for Santana, the team getting him would probably be trying to win short term and they likely wouldn't give up a good, controlled pitcher, especially for Santana. I see us signing a FA pitcher or trading other prospects for pitching. So let's say we go the FA pitcher route, you have to look at the two trades as a whole rather than a package. Out Santana Brinson Burnes/Ortiz Diaz ??? In Yelich Arrieta/Cobb/Lynn A+ Pitcher A Pitcher A Infielder We can take lower level pitchers back (higher upside) for Santana, since we wouldn't have the immediate need with Woodruff, Burnes/Ortiz, etc at higher levels and a pretty solid MLB staff.
  16. Why not the first or second weekend after the regular season? Yep. The answer is staring at them but they won’t do a damn thing. This is exactly what should happen. The solution is simple. The problem is when do you schedule the first round? College BB can have a tourney because it isn't anywhere near finals. Not so much with football.
  17. If you make the FT, everyone runs off the court and lets the Cavs inbound to the 3 point line and hit a wide open 3... game over. If an idiot like me can figure that out, how can't an NBA coach figure that out?
  18. What? He doesn't want a picture of The Fonz?
