    I am hanging shelves and had only one eye on the game this inning. My wife is reading a book in front of the TV. Here was our exchange this inning. (I hear fans cheering and I go into the room to see what's going on as the ball is rattling around the rightfield corner) Her: Double? Me: It's going to be a triple. Her: Was that Mench? Me: It was Gross. Her: It looked like "big head". Me: LOL, you're right, it was Mench As I type, Mench scores on the WP. Yes!

    It would be nice if we could keep inherited runners from scoring in tight games. I didn't look it up but my perception is that we let more score than the other teams do against us.

    Soup! It's nice to see that our pitchers can help their own cause once in a while. Other teams seem to do it to us way more often.

    I'm sorry but if a guy with Gwynn's skill set can't even sacrifice bunt, he doesn't belong in the majors. Edit: At least he got the job done.

    Is anybody DVRing the game? Is it possible that he got hit on the finger when attempting to bunt the inning before? It wouldn't have happened on the popup but did he foul any off?
