  1. Cappy has really settled down. 8 straight outs. Edit: Make that 9. Come on guys, be patient on offense!
  2. Nice job by Cappy to at least get out of that inning. Now get some runs!
  3. Cubs announcers said "Branyan is one of those three true outcomes" guys. Then he struck out on the next pitch.
  4. I totally agree- I just posted this on the js board: Capuano's been lights out, and he could certainly continue that today. As for Wood, the key is to be patient and get his pitch count up. If we can get him out before the sixth inning we'll expose that bullpen, which is always a good thing.
  5. Mark A really seems like he's the man. I'll get used to having him around.
  6. Clark is battting .462 with a .563 on-base %, 4 doubles, 1 triple, and only 2 strikeouts in 5 games (15 plate appearances). 12 total bases in 15 plate appearances. 6-13 hitting, 8-15 getting on-base. Krynzel is batting .300 (3-10) with 4 walks. Has a .500 oba in 14 plate appearances. 3-10 hitting, 7-14 for getting on-base. They're both doing pretty well, especially Clark.
  7. I just remember my mom bought mlb radio last year for white sox games, and I called her and got her password! I have it on now... I always knew some good would come of having a White Sox fan in the family.
  8. Sweet! Are any of the games on the radio, like 620? Or are they just on MLB radio?
  9. How are you guys getting the game from the wtmj site? All I have is ads, and I can't get that refresh thing to work...
  10. Thanks for the input. I know he's also the best basketball player at the high school, but I think he's a better baseball prospect. 6'7" lefty pitchers aren't exactly a commodity.
  11. Colbyjack, I was wondering if you have heard of Tony Butler. He pitches for Oak Creek High School here in Wisconsin. He is only a junior now, but he has been awesome. He pitched a no hitter through 5 innings in the state championship game as a freshman and has led OC to two straight state championships. He's a lefty and about 6'6" if I remember right. Just wondering if you've heard of him and what you think his status may be like next season. I suppose he'd go to school, but you may be able to give an idea of how he compares to his peers. Thanks a lot.
  12. Well first of all you can never have too much pitching. But I'd agree that the position player talent in the lower leagues doesn't compare to the mid and high leagues. There are some stud shortstops in the upcoming draft class. Also some good third basemen and first basemen. I wouldn't be surprised if went in that direction early on rather than pitching, since we stockpiled some last year.
