  1. Any chance we can call up Made and Fischer to play third and DH because something has to change.
  2. What is the excuse as to why Sproat has been given all these starts when he's been terrible all season.
  3. It appears there were no good bats available and if thats the case so be it but how can you expect to win a championship with this punchless lineup.
  4. All we heard is how we needed more pitching while ignoring that Yelich is hitting anywhere from 1-4 every night and hitting like a bad pitcher.
  5. I do think we have a ridiculous imbalance in that we have a ton of great position player prospects but are awfully light on pitching and was thinking we'd have to trade a few but I really wanted it to be for pitching with multiple years of control not rentals and if you are going the rental route go ultra big for Skubal. Nothing against May whatsoever but the price was way too high for a good but not elite rental and damn I hate that its within the division.
  6. Its especially brutal because this deal is with St Louis. If we made this same exact deal with an AL team or even a non divisional national league one it wouldn't feel as bad.
  7. I defer to both Spencer and Joseph our leading prospect experts and both of them strongly dislike the deal.
  8. I know we have an overabundance of position player prospects but why not trade a few for long term pitchers since we are very light on pitching prospects. I am ok trading who we did but we needed to receive pitchers with multiple years of control remaining.
  9. Thats exactly where I am at. Arnold has been a great GM and I hope he's here for many years but this looks to be a bad trade.
  10. Third base or DH tough luck if that upsets Yelich but he needs to sit.
  11. As that woman said years ago in that Wendy's commercial "where's the beef" because this team needs a power bat way more than any rental pitching but if watching Yelich ground out to second in October excites you we have that to look forward to.
  12. I don't specifically remember either way but I am always against giving up big value for rentals and I think we gave up more than Deroit got for Skubal which isn't good.
  13. I wanted to either stand pat or pay a relatively small price for a rental impact bat like Arozarena.
  14. Bloom is a phenomenal GM who the Red Sox messed up big time in firing and we are going to have to deal with him in the division. Won't be long before St Louis is contending again and we are helping them do just that.
  15. Not looking forward to seeing this punchless lineup attempt to get three hits an inning to score one run against playoff caliber pitching.
  16. Better be ready to win a bunch of low scoring playoff games since these hitters for the most part have been brutal in October in previous years.
  17. If May had another year or two of control fine but this is brutal for rentals.
  18. Crow no big deal but I don't like giving up Knoth when our pitching cupboard is nearly bare.
  19. Arozarena was that guy but he seems to no longer be available. The needle moving bat might be Made or Fischer but either way we need another hitter.
  20. Just a reminder that 2018 was the last time Yelich had a playoff rbi and this idea that we have to play him like he is a franchise icon like Robin Yount is utterly ridiculous.
  21. I stand by my belief that this team needs a needle moving bat far more than pitching or we may very well end up disappointed once again in October with a lineup of guys that have very poor postseason track records.
  22. I really hope we didn't give much but Bloom is a really sharp GM that Boston should never have fired.
