  1. I think keeping Weimer on the roster through the the start of August made sense. He was showing progress at the plate in June but then regressed at which point he should've been sent down in Aug. He's a great defender and excels around the bases. His only problem is getting on base, which makes him a great late inning option and I can see why CC doesn't want to give that up by sending him to Nashville. And when your in a tight race for the division the team comes 1st and player development gets pushed to the side and I realize that idea can't work long term but injuries changes things
  2. I’m not sure about the Cardinals and it’s not their talent, I think Oliver Marmol has that clubhouse on edge and if there’s trouble in the clubhouse it will show up on the field. I guess time will tell if he’s a good fit with the Card’s
  3. I don’t see Burnes going anywhere before 2023 mid-season. It gives the Brewers a chance to feel out their competitiveness and ability to compete for the post season and I also think you get more for players in trades when other teams have the need in that moment versus the off-season when there’s no wins and losses on the board. the other questions is really for Brewers management and that is do they think they can compete for a World Series in the next 2 seasons and if not then they need to make a deal
