You're not wrong and again, that wasn't meant to be a negative. The product this year is better (or at least much more enjoyable) than last years. Having said that, the bar has been raised for this year.
And ugly losses are still losses. I say that in a positive tone because I think a lot of the losses this year have been winnable games. I just remember feeling like any deficit was insurmountable last year. I don't feel that way this year which is not the same as not knowing when they are playing like garbage.
Presumably the Brewers will be attempting to be in contention next year and we all know how heavily they emphasize defense. I think it's silly to think that Frelick is going to play any amount of considerable time at third out of the blue next year. If they had any serious notion of him getting earnest playing time there he would get some blow out innings or something by this point.
