  1. As soon as Happ came up I knew it was gone.
  2. Anyone in the MD area going to the game tonight?
  3. I think his most value is depth if you trade him you are looking at an Eric Yardley or Ray Black option at best.
  4. By all indications Diaz is a well below avg. thirdbaseman. His arm is, at most, average and he has large negative numbers as a 3B. I doubt seriously that the Astros would part with Gurriel unless Stearns overwhelmed them, which he is very unlikely to do. Very creative thinking of Nunez. A lot of power and a decent thirdbaseman. I have no idea what it would take to get him, but it's the O's so who knows. I knows Diaz wasn’t a good SS but no didn’t know The arm was such a problem. That would explain why his metrics are best at 2B. Probably not a great 3B option then. You might be right about them wanting Gurriel, but they have a AAA 3B who got to the bigs last year named Abraham toro. In his age 22 season at AAA he had a 938 OPS. Is suspect Baltimore would want some young pitching for Nunez. They don’t have a starting SS so they might be the rare team that Values Arcia a bit too I also like Nunez and saw him play a good bit this year. I also agree that the O’s might be a team that would have interest in Arcia. I think that both teams could match up well on deals that would benefit both sides.
  5. Just got to my car.... wow what a gut punch!! It started out so promising, but we had a number of missed opportunities to add runs but we couldn’t. Had a Nats fan sitting next to me and when the 8th started he said to me “you know the Nats are going to win, Zero chance Hader goes 2 innings Brewers messed up when they went with Pom in the 6th.” I was sure hoping he was wrong because the wheels really came off. That was a long painful walk back to my car knowing they were so close and just couldn’t finish.
  6. Going to be at the game tomorrow with a few friends. I am really looking forward to this game I feel if they can get a few runs early it will be huge for them as I believe the Nats bullpen is definitely a weak spot. It will also take the crowd out of the game. I’m predicting Brewers win 4-3.
  7. I believe that, typically, both the NL and AL start times are 8PM EST time, since they are the only MLB games scheduled for that day. Thank you!
  8. Does anyone know when they will announce the WC start time? I’m sure they are waiting to see who/where it will be played, but just wondering if anyone knew if that will be announced prior to end of play on Sunday / Monday if need be.
  9. It would be great for game 162 to not matter and they were able to pitch Faria, Nelson, T. Williams, and Burnes allowing the rest of them to get some rest for the WC game.
  10. The bats can only get better than yesterday and I think Lyles has a solid outing. I like the Crew to win 3-2 today.
  11. The bats can only get better than yesterday and I think Lyles has a solid outing. I like the Crew to win 3-2 today.
  12. I think 14-6 might be enough to get them in. Like it was mentioned above the Phillies and Nats both have a tough schedule ahead of them. Miami tripped the Crew up in June now it’s time to go knock them around and get to St. Louis with some real momentum.
  13. I would have brought in Hader I think he would be most effective in a role similar to last season using Albers as the closer. The Cardinals just always see to find away.
  14. Just got home from the game! What a wild game it was it helps that we won. It was definitely exciting and back and forth with a lot more action than last night. I wish I was going tomorrow, but then again it was super hot and humid tomorrow will be worse. Hopefully we can take the series tomorrow and the bats stay hot.
  15. Nice to see both the Cubs and Cards lose. Still no starter announced for the Nats Saturday or Sunday. I’ll be there tomorrow and Saturday, but have a wedding on Sunday. Hope we can take 2 of 3.
  16. I’ve been waiting for that also. Nice short trip from the Harrisburg, PA area down to Baltimore. Agree 100% would be down for going as a group if people are interested.
  17. It also looks like he gives up a fair number of walks. If the batters can show some patience at the plate they should be able score some runs. I’m predicting Brewers win 6-3.
