  1. I think only once they faced a tough third down and that was after a penalty. Cook looks like he can get whatever he wants all day, hoping for some adjustments there. We've been waiting for adjustments to the run defense all season. Probably not going to happen.
  2. The run defense still a weakness.
  3. How about that Martin? Our best draft pick.
  4. Awesome first drive. Very surgical. Loved going for it on 4th down.
  5. I think the wind is an advantage for Minnesota. Cousins won't be throwing as much and neither will Rodgers.
  6. Friday will mark the 20 year anniversary of that catch. MNF in 2000 was wild.
  7. It was actually a botched hold by Mitch Berger and since it wasn't fourth down all Berger had to do was throw the ball incomplete right away and give themselves another shot at a field goal with a few seconds remaining. Instead he ran around looking to throw a touchdown pass and in doing so, ran out the clock and sent the game in overtime, which is apparently what Sherman was playing for anyway given his inexplicable ultra conservative play calling on the drive before.
  8. Braun officially a free agent.
  9. So how will the Falcons find a way to lose this week? Maybe pulling a Jim Marshall and running to the wrong end zone?
  10. I'm starting Tannehill, so go with Herbert.
  11. Someone dropped Fournette on my league's waiver wire and I'm all over that. I need running back help as I am so done with Patriots and 49ers running backs. I almost put in a request for Montgomery but instead hoped he would clear waivers and didn't.
  12. I agree. We have several other areas of need bigger than tight end. That made no sense to me.
  13. It would be more accurate to call it a Mike Budenholzer type thing, which I'm glad he did.
  14. DODGERS, BABY!!! Anyway, here's clip of the booing. It almost looked like Manfred was going to cry.
  15. The Cowboys have fallen so far that someone in my league dropped CeeDee Lamb.
  16. I watched this game on Youtube not too long ago. Still gives me chills. Another game where we never led in the game and still won. It just wasn't the Lions this time.
  17. I could have gone either way on that 4th and goal call, but the one that really irks me is the possession before 4th and 26. We had the ball at the Eagles' 40 up by 3. It was 4th and an inch. If we pick it up, the game is over. So what does Sherman do? He punts. The ball sails into the endzone and we gain 20 yards of field possession. He literally gave up a chance to win the game by picking up an inch for 20 yards of field position. 4th and 26 was awful but it should have never come to that. And to top it all off...Ed Donatell dialed up pressure on 4th and 26. Sherman overrode him and called the soft zone. And then he scapegoats and fires Donatell for the play, who was a very good DC. The more I talk about Mike Sherman the less I like him. And at that point of the game, the Eagles defense couldn't have stopped Green with a cannon so to elect to punt instead of trusting Green to pick up an inch probably was Sherman's worst coaching blunder of his life.
  18. Looks like a Bears loss for sure now. Back in the #1 seed.
  19. Good analysis, Dennis.
  20. The Packers are bringing in veteran WR Seth Roberts, who was released by the Panthers earlier today. A source said the plan is to sign him to the practice squad initially. Roberts has 183 career receptions (15 TDs) for the Raiders, Ravens and Panthers.
  21. I'm still not sold on the Bears. No offense to speak of. Foles is wildly inaccurate.
  22. Go Rams!
  23. While Mandrich is widely rated as the worst Packer draft pick ever because of where he was picked i would argue Sanders was worse. Drafting a punter that early would be bad no matter what. The fact that he was terrible is the cherry on the sundae. The Raiders drafted Ray Guy in the first round and he's the greatest punter in NFL history, but he is definitely the exception to the rule.
  24. Yrah, Sherman drafting B.J. Sander was just terrible. I agree with Chorizo that what made him a bad GM was signing players to bad contracts that put the organization in cap hell, then TT came in and cleaned it up. One of the few things I'll say good about Ted. Sherman the GM basically got Sherman the head coach fired.
