I don't believe Arcia has the dedication to become a better hitter. I really don't like the way he carries himself. Just kind of aloof, more interested in having a good time than becoming a better player.
And let him get hurt? No. PH everytime you can. Anderson, Nelson, Guerra. All batting/running. No thank you. Last time I checked, pitchers were professional athletes. The odds of them getting hurt as a hitter/runner are still very slim.
Only one run thankfully, but 26 pitches thrown. Might be a long night's work for the bullpen. Makes me kind of glad CC didn't try hard to win yesterday's game. Didn't want to risk exhausting the bullpen in a potential extra inning game and be gassed for Arizona.
Yeah, I don't have a good feeling about this game. A rusty Anderson against Greinke. Anderson really needs to limit the damage in this first inning. A walk with the bases loaded doesn't help.
Was there really no other option to come in relief besides Logan? This just turned into a throwaway game between the who cares Sunday lineup and Boone Logan.
https://twitter.com/dekker/status/998018739504402441 I was thinking more along the lines of a cyborg. I was absolutely blown away by his performance lastnight, more blown away that one of those helpless saps that he struck out. By far his most impressive outing, and he's had many. He's a lock for the All Star Game. Is it too early to start the Hader for Cy Young campaign?
Woodruff walked to many hitters for anyone's liking, including a sub .200 hitter twice, but Arizona were awful at taking advantage. Anyway, it's nice to clinch a .500 road trip with three games to go.
Considering a huge part of her job is to interview coaches and players and relay that information to viewers, I don't think her saying "he said" too much is much of a complaint.
