  1. IDK that final series in 2008 was pretty huge.
  2. Unfortunately we have the lowly Pirates next so that's a series loss.
  3. Although it's nice to have clinched the series win, it doesn't really matter much if we don't win tomorrow. But we're playing a real good team so odds are we will beat them. It's not like we're playing the Reds or something.
  4. Bean a half dozen hitters, just to see Maddon explode, and torture the bleacher bums! We need to get that run back.
  5. After all the "stuff" the Cubs have pulled this year on us, if we get a runner on in the ninth, steal.
  6. Wrigley is a dump, Coshun. Me and a friend of mine went to the Rams game at Lambeau last week and he was telling me seeing how beautiful Lambeau Field is reminds him of how much of a dump Wrigley is.
  7. A little early for that. If it's still an eight+ run lead after six than do it. You can't take this win for granted right now when we need all the Ws we can get. Disagree. 8 is and should be enough. Get him off his feet and put a better defensive player out there. It could've paid dividends down the road as he might play a game he normally wouldn't of. It's a moot point now, but "should" is the operative word here. These are the Brewers after all, and it's not like losing a game you had an eight run lead in is unprecedented. A "we don't deserve to win if we blow this big lead" is a dangerous mindset to have when you're battling for a playoff spot, especially a game against the Cubs. Did you think the Falcons had the Super Bowl wrapped up at 28-3? That being said, I think we're safe now with a 14 run lead.
  8. You know things are going well when that bunted ball stays fair.

  10. Bring the DH to the National League!!!
  11. I wouldn't expect him to say that, but he could at least give a non answer like "He's been struggling lately, he just needs time to figure it out" like any other manager would do.
  12. He is when he uses it to answer "no" to the question "Was it a mistake to pitch Garza today?". He also said he pitched fine. I wish I had DVRed the interview so I had the exact quote, but he basically absolved Garza of any blame.
  13. Counsell says in post game presser that Garza just had bad luck. Congrats CC, you are now part of the problem. It's interesting that it's only Garza that seems to have all this bad luck.
  14. It's quite easy to be optomistic. The Cubs are the defending champions and one of the best teams in baseball this year. Should be an easy sweep in our favor.
  15. Ok, I've been at work and just got back and I've been itching to say this for the past two hours. Garza is straight gutter trash. What a turd. I've been one of his biggest defenders over the years but after today I just can't do it anymore. Garza doesn't deserve to throw another pitch in a Brewers uniform. NOT ONE! I wouldn't even let him on the plane to Chicago later on. DFA him. Hell, just release him outright. And Counsell deserves to share the blame today. If ever there was a must win game up to this point of the season, it was today. And he trots out Garza for this game? I know their thinking was don't let him pitch in the Cubs series but in reality he shouldn't pitch against anybody anymore. Done with him.
