  1. They've been bad for about four years now. I must've missed the news about the strike zone being expanded three inches off both sides of the plate. Just four years? That's when I noticed it. It probably has been longer though.

  3. Said this months ago. Take what you can get and run. He's a bust. I know you're selling low and it sucks but the alternative is suffering through hundreds more ABs just like that which hurt the team now and probably getting nothing out of it. Someone out there will believe they can fix him and give us something. And they probably will.
  4. A few thoughts after attending the game. 1. Garcia was just awful today. Terrible defense in the ninth and even worse at bats. 2. When JBJ is your offensive juggernaut for the game, you know the offense was bad. Five hits and eight LOB. Let that marinate for a while. I left immediately after Castellanos hit the 2 RBI single. Hiura JBJ and a PH were not going to get it done. 3. Saw the replay of the Adames steal attempt on the jumbotron. He was definitely out, and I'm actually amazed there was so much debate about it here. 4. This:
  5. In honor of 90s weekend, beer prices are rolled back three decades to $4. I wouldn’t want to be an umpire today if they’re incompetent again.
  6. A loss tomorrow would be so deflating after building an eight game lead and suddenly having that cut in half, then facing them again after the break. Could you imagine only having a one game lead after next weekend?
  7. No, I honestly don't think I've seen worse. Not exaggerating at all. It's actually impressive how you can suck for three straight games and one more to go.
  8. I'm totally in agreement that the Yelich call was trash. Strictly have been referring to today's zone, which some folks have liked to embellish to imply that I've been saying the umpiring in the series has been fine. This is the way I see it as far as balls and strikes. I agree with you that the pitch was borderline and could've gone either way. This umps strike zone has been far better than the previous two nights, but it does get frustrating when about 90% of the wrong calls go against you and emotions start to run high. Then tack on the Yelich play and it gets to Mount Vesuvius levels. There was obviously no intention on the part of Yelich to try for second and that should be taken into consideration when making a call.
