  1. Won't happen. Coan is just "Wisconsin Quarterbacky" enough to keep the starting job for the bowl game and probably next year as well. Kind of a bummer, as I too would like to see Mertz get some playing time at some point.
  2. So what, should there be no accountability for how terrible this defense has been following the first month of the season? They started other-worldy, had a couple bad games and played well for the last few. Your perception is biased by the last quarter. You're right, of course. More frustration talking than anything. A lot of big things were expected from this defense this year, though, and it's been extremely inconsistent.

  4. Wow... just wow. This defense has been out-and-out terrible after the first three games.
  5. If Jim Leonard wasn't a Wisconsin legend, he might be on the hot seat.
  6. No excuse for giving up a 1st on 3rd and 18, with a 3 man rush. Terrible.
  7. Did Chryst just take a nap at halftime?
  8. Ohio State didn't show up in the first half. That dynamic has changed. This looks like a completely different team now. Granted Badgers haven't done themselves any favors, but Ohio State came out balls on fire after halftime.
  9. And of course a missed kick. Wheels falling off in all facets.
  10. Offensive line was great in the first half. Complete 180.
  11. Ohio State handing the Badgers extra yards on dumb penalties.
  12. Badgers offense needs an answer here. Huge drive.
  13. Wow ... huge defensive stop there on a short field to hold them to the field goal.
  14. Offensive line didn't come out after halftime either. Or special teams. Geez!
  15. Well, that wasn't a positive start to the half. Badgers defense forgot to come out after the half.
  16. Well, this is basically his team. All his players, his system. They probably haven't even cleaned out his office there yet. That's fine, but he's not employed by OSU in this capacity, is he? Employed by Fox Sports, no? True. Bad on Fox Sports giving a guy who is only 11 months removed from a job as the coach of one of these teams, so much face time. Of course he's going to be biased as all get out.

  18. So the money conscious Rays are going to trade a decently priced starter (cheap for his level of performance, at times) for a reliever who is go to be crazy expensive for a reliever after this year? I don’t know if that really makes sense. It doesn't. In one sense, the Hader market is really just a few teams: Contenders or big-market teams. Hader will be worth keeping in 2020, and for sale only for a king's ransom. McNeil/Davis is the minimum I'd consider. Now, this three-team deal might be a more elaborate way to do things: https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/trades/trade-17662/ Brewers get: McNeil Davis Lowrie Morejon Padres get: Nottingham Stroman Lutz Smith Mets get: Hader Mejia Ray The Mets are getting raked over the coals in that deal. They give up McNeil, Davis, Lowrie Stroman and Smith, and only get back Hader and a couple of overhyped prospects. There's no way they accept that.
  19. That is an overpay for two seasons of Lindor. I don't care how good he is.
  20. Cephus is balling out tonight. He'll definitely be playing on Sundays. A lot of Davante Adams in his game.
  21. Offensive line sure picked a good game to have their best game of the year. Coan has been very good as well.
  22. Wow! Love all the misdirection stuff. You aren't going to shove Ohio State around. Great game plan so far!
  23. You can tell Ohio State has a big edge in speed and athleticism. Badgers came to play, though. I don't know if they can keep it up, but they are fired up.
