  1. I'll double up to get this thing started, I'll take the Cubs. Please let me know when I can select. I wonder who I'll take #1 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Inside Dish in a recent sporting news quotes 1 executive that Sabathia and Sheets WILL NOT be available this summer because both teams feel they can re-sign their respective pitchers. WOW, interesting interesting and more interesting. A healthy Sheets is key to Brewer success over the next 2-4 years or the guy they trade for (which will cost talent). Easier just to sign BS!!!
  3. I'll take AZ, can I announce my pick since I'm on the clock http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. I think we should sign Bush to a 5 yr $50 million contract, get her done Doug, also let's get Branyan inked as well!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. 6/14 seats went for $45 a ticket. Thank you!!!
  6. I have 2 tickets for 6/13. The seats are in section 215 Row 12 and they are next to each other . This section is right next to the press box behind the Brewer dugout in the 2nd deck. Very good seats. Marquee face value for a single game is $50 a ticket. If interested please make a reasonable offer. Thanks, Mike
  7. If the package is better than 2 draft picks & Sheets isn't interested in re-upping then most definitely you make the deal, draft picks are a crap shoot and teams will be drooling for a #1 starter, now Ben's health will play a factor, where have we heard that before http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Prince has to be traded for pitching pitching and more pitching. Positionally, factoring in the Matt's this team should be fine (xcept catcher). Escobar replaces Hardy at SS, Hardy possibly replaces Hall at 3b so thats the deal, What about Blanton, Street & G. Smith?
  9. Guys not sure this has been posted, Do we have any options? Bush is just awful. Is anyone (not Weaver) a possibility in the minors? We need him out of the rotation like last week but what can we do?
  10. Hardy is going to be moved off of SS or he will be traded. This guy doesn't have to hit 25 Hr's for us, its his glove that we need and there appears to be few better with the leather than Mr. Escobar!!!
  11. Let's just take 1 at a time, this franchise has been such a heartbreaker, just when it "appears" we have turned things around they may lose 5 in a row, 1 at a time baby!!!!
  12. Thanks for the info, I didn't know that, you think Maddux might want to go to a team that has a shot at the WS or does he want to go hang with his bro? Why didn't he just sign with us then?
  13. Per article on Yahoo, Maddux has a full no trade clause, I doubt he waives it to come to Milwaukee.
  14. Let's hope this is true. The guy should have been gone with the collapse from last year!!!
  15. If you could trade Hart & Gamel FOR Linceum you do that in a second. Very very difficult to acquire #1 type starters, plus we would control Lincecum for 4 years.
  16. Hart & Gamel FOR Lincecum, sign me up in a Milwaukee minute. I'm sorry its very very difficult to acquire pitching, Of'ers are easier to find. Cameron's option could be picked up and LaPorta is in right. Lincecum replaces Sheets next year, or if by some small chance BS re-signs Sheets Gallardo Lincecum Suppan 5th starter WOW!!!!!
  17. Colby, Since your online, besides Alvarez are they any other "can't miss" guys in this draft? Thanks, Mike
  18. Colby, Baseball has to flush more money down the toilet on players that never make it to the majors more than the NBA & NFL combined, obviously the NBA has only 2 rounds and the NFL has 7 rounds but both of those leagues negotiated that. If baseball was smart they would cut down the rounds, implement a slot system and make ALL players have to go through the draft process, thus not allowing the Japanese players to play for whoever they want. Wait til you see the $$$ that Darvish is going to get.
  19. Colby, with this many picks though and probably a good amount next year (Sheets & Gagne) this would be the time to do something like that and try and hit a HR. the draft is so tough to get it right. I wonder how much money major league baseball teams waste on players and they really never get much of a return. the NFL and NBA in that respect have it right.
  20. For me Lincecum is the guy to get, he is sensational, young and would seem to fit nicely with this team. Lincecum & Gallardo at the top of our rotation would be great. What about Hardy & Gamel and another prospect (Jeffress?) FOR Lincecum Escobar plays SS, he's cheaper as J.J's arby starts, what do you guys think? More importantly what does Mr Sabean think http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. I think these are significant upgrades over Bush: Blanton Oswalt Young Cain or Lincecum There's probably a few more but not many. I'm sure the price is outlandish for any of these guys, tough spot for the Brew. Posters have been saying these pitchers have to step up but the most likely place for improvement is this offense. We've got to start hitting!!!!!
  22. Mickey, thanks for the scoop and NO ONE should feel sorry for this guy, as a fan we should be caring about results, not how nice of a guy these players are (unless you know them personally). Previous poster stated we're not paying over $10 million in "dead money", WOW Mickey any chance your guy in the organization can get you any trade rumors http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif GO BREW
  23. I know it's early but that's a 2 game swing in the standings!!!! That was a HUGE HUGE HUGE comeback and now that is 4 out of 6 against the Cubs. If Ned says that wasn't a big win in his postgame I may hurl!!! WOW that was a big one!!! GO BREW
  24. Brackman had Tommy Jogn surgery I believe.
  25. Does anyone have a link or a website which would show the opening day rosters, this is a fantasy baseball issue. Thanks, Mike GO BREW
