  1. People have still been testing positive after getting the vaccine, so just relax. He’s not letting anybody down either way.
  2. Some nice velocity from Lauer early here. I seem to remember him being 90-92 but I could be misremembering.
  3. Seems unlikely given where we are in the season. Seems like most players that got the vaccine shot got it earlier this month (and I read Brewer players got the J&J shot - so one and done). Had to google what you said. Only found two players (but maybe there were more). Garrett Cooper and Gio Urshela, and I believe both were only out for a few days. So, hopefully that's the case, but again, I really doubt it unless Burns just recently decided he wanted the shot. Also, I believe I read that Bettinger will make his MLB debut Sunday. No need to announce that if it's just a matter of Corbin getting over a reaction to the shot. I've had at least 3 others on my fantasy team. Greg Holland, Jake McGee, and Diego Castilla all missed a game or two over the last week. Lance McCullers Jr. as well. He had to miss a start at Coors Field due to the reaction he had to the vaccine, for my fantasy team's sake I wasn't too upset he missed a Coors start.
  4. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
  5. Please pull up the rule and point out why the umpires interpretation was incorrect. I think the call was dumb, but I am not entirely convinced it didn't technically follow some rule in the rule book. It appears all you can do is call people stupid and provide literally nothing useful to the discussion yourself. That is pretty lame. At least some people want to have a productive conversation. I'm going off of what you and one or two other defenders have posted and I still don't see anything convincing enough to defend that bureaucratic interpretation of the rule. It's worth noting that outside of Marty Foster and the Miami Marlins, I haven't seen anyone else in the baseball world online trying to defend the call as being correct. Diaz was on the grass, dogging it to first, and was clearly out via force at 1B before Marty decided he wanted the spotlight. A little common sense can go a very long way. If that is the type of call MLB can defend as a correct interpretation of a rule, than maybe this league just deserves to lose fans.
  6. Watching the handful of people who are trying to contort themselves into defending this call as a correct interpretation of the rule is almost as stupid as that call was. It was really, really bad. The Brewers didn't do themselves any favors after the fact, obviously.
  7. "On an already windy night, Aaron Ashby had hitters waving all night long - 9 K in 5 IP"
  8. That "triple" was simply the result of the head-scratching defensive positioning of Garrett Cooper in RF. Glad Keston got something productive on the board, but that should've been a routine out. Makes sense to give Vogelbach the start against a tough RHP like Alcantara.
  9. "It's a camp day today for our crew, but please enjoy these big flies, brought to you by Luis Medina, Larry Ernesto, and Ernesto Martinez" nice Ernesto Martinez bat flip here. exciting to see some footage of these 3
  10. "Hedbert Perez is “totally fine,” says Tom Flanagan. He was away from the complex for a week, not injury related, but is back now."
  11. I mean, that starting rotation is no joke and they are all very young as you mentioned. They've got a lot of veteran position players that are most likely just placeholders until a couple of prospects push them out. I know it's the Marlins, but I could see them going after a bigger FA bat or two in the next 2 years as their starting rotation matures even more. Alcantara, Lopez, Rogers, Sixto, they've got a really, really nice foundation. "No direction" seems pretty extreme.
