  1. Nice to see some of Ashby and Small there. Aaron's breaking ball looks tough, he was also really messing with timing pitch-to-pitch.
  2. Sharp inning from Perdomo
  3. That Hiura bomb was a beauty! Good to have some baseball to watch again
  4. Well this is a bummer. Might push back any chance of Dylan File debuting this season: “Brewers pitching prospect Dylan File is in camp but not pitching. He had surgery, per Craig Counsell, and could be out until midseason. We don't have details yet but they are forthcoming.” “From Brewers: Dylan File underwent surgery on Feb. 4 to repair a stress fracture in his right elbow. He is expected to miss 3 1/2 to four months from the date of the surgery.“
  5. If you know how to setup a VPN to get around the location blackouts (I do not), MLB.tv is a really great option. I love it as is, but would love it even more if I could watch the Brewers through it.
  6. It’s been a very disappointing slog watching this UW team, especially with the pre-season expectations being what they were. But, I feel like this team could very well still put together a deep run in March somehow. They hit their stride very late last year, and it could happen again. The more involved and confident Jonny Davis gets offensively, the better this team is imo, and he seems to be progressing nicely. It really helps having a guy who can create his own shot off the dribble like he can.
  7. looks like this moron has resigned. good riddance
  8. "The vastness of the stadium itself, which spans 1.2 million square feet with a retractable roof and retractable panels, which the Brewers would keep open more often in 2021 – even in colder weather, as long as there is no precipitation." https://www.mlb.com/brewers/news/brewers-submit-occupancy-plan-for-american-family-field
  9. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/2021-top-100-prospects/ Eric Longenhagen’s Top 100 prospects doesn’t include any Brewers, but he does have Aaron Ashby, projected as a multi-inning reliever, at #127. “While he can struggle with his command and his fastball is more good than great, Ashby has one of the better sliders around and knows how to use it. Ashby showed up at instructs sitting 94-97 (I saw him twice), with two routinely plus breaking balls, and flashed a firm, diving changeup on occasion. It’s fair to wonder whether the context of the look impacted how hard Ashby was throwing (it’s not as if he’d been throwing every fifth day for several months, though it was toward the end of instructs) and he isn’t exactly a precise strike-thrower, but his fastball velocity has been trending up for a few consecutive years now, and all three of his secondary pitches have bat-missing action. I think he’ll either end up in a strikeout-heavy, five-and-dive role or become a vicious multi-inning reliever. (Fall Instructional League)”
  10. It was a joke because he was quote tweeting Bob Nightengale, who is notorious for being horribly wrong all the time.
  11. Baseball has forever been broken. Why is it any surprise to anyone that MLB is third in terms of popularity to the NFL and NBA? Garbage league run by garbage people and the players Union is worse. You're going to need to show your work if you somehow come to the conclusion that the Players Union is "worse" than the billionaire ownership and the league office that operates to advance the interests of those owners.
  12. Their team is loaded, their farm is still decent, and they'll always have gobs of money. I don't think they're going away anytime soon.
  13. Thank you for kicking off the poll, brooks_quichenick. Appreciate it. Thanks for continuing to set this up for us!

  15. I like this move alot. Wong's defense is stellar and his career offensive numbers at Miller Park are pretty great. He's not going to put up monstrous offensive fantasy baseball numbers, but he doesn't need to. Play consistent up the middle defense, make contact, get on base, maybe swipe some bags... a good fit for this team. With a club option at the end of a very reasonable 2 year deal, I don't see how anyone can complain.
  16. The Marlins have DFA'd Jordan Yamamoto https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/01/marlins-designate-jordan-yamamoto-for-assignment.html
  17. Long overdue. Atlanta next, hopefully.
  18. In this world nothing can be said to be certain except for death, taxes, and Brewers fans vigorously defending the bank account of a venture capitalist billionaire for some reason.
  19. I’m sorry, but China’s response to the outbreak has been lauded by the WHO as nothing short of incredible. China bought the rest of the world some time with their quarantine and sacrifice, and warned the rest of the world of the severity. Unfortunately that time has been completely wasted by the West and now here we are. It’s going to get really, really bad before it gets any better.
  20. They’re playing with good energy at least, keeping it close. Not going to have Giannis Thursday, and possibly Hill or Bledsoe either, so not the worst idea to rest everyone for the Celtics game.
  21. Not too concerned about this one. 2nd east coast back to back in the past week with a brief stop back home in between, they looked a little worn out.
  22. Really missing Middleton today. The Bucks have looked terrible when Giannis is on the bench.
