“Brock Holt contract with #Brewers, per source: One year, $3.25M. Guarantee includes $750K buyout if team does not exercise $5M club option for 2021. Also: $250K each for 400, 425 and 450 plate appearances.”
Adrian Houser has a starter’s arsenal, he deserves the opportunity. He really flashed some potential last year as well, I’m excited to see what he can do. Feel like he’ll end up being our 2nd best starter behind Woody.
Excited to see Coach Bennett and the 2000 Final Four team in attendance today, plus the throwback unis being worn. Should be a fun atmosphere in Madison. These recent writeups on the 2000 run from Mike Lucas are really great reads, got me feeling very nostalgic for that season and the wild ride that started in the Big 10 Tournament. https://uwbadgers.com/news/2020/2/4/lucas-at-50-core-values-at-heart-of-badgers-magic-run-to-final-four.aspx https://uwbadgers.com/news/2020/2/7/mens-basketball-lucas-at-50-badgers-chased-their-dreams-to-final-four.aspx
Wonder who gets cut. I like this move though, he's a good defender for some of the more athletic bigger guys that Ersan can't hang with defensively. Can catch and shoot the 3 pretty well. By all accounts a great locker room guy.
Most interesting name on that list to me is Ethan Small. Pretty cool to see our 1st round LHP from last year getting some big league camp experience before his first full season of pro ball.
I'm glad Dusty is back managing again. He gets an unfair amount of criticism for some reason, he's a good manager and players seem to like playing for him.
To me, that Davison foul looked awfully intentional, and it follows a pattern with him. Considering the timing and game situation, it's inexcusable. Hate to say it, but he's definitely entered Grayson Allen territory with his reputation.
What? How does this track at all? In the other thread you’re ripping Fiers for not speaking out sooner, when it was happening, but now you’d rather have LoMo keep his mouth shut until “all of the truth comes out” somehow?
I cried when Greg Vaughn was traded to San Diego in 1996. Luckily my dad had an old Padres hat stored away that I wore a lot after that for the next year or two.
