  1. At first I was very nervous about it but honestly Radcliffe and Hogg made good points on the podcast yesterday. The Dodgers were an emotional hurdle that this team cleared, not to mention just clearing the hurdle of getting to the World Series. If they had to play a day or two later in Game 1, that could be trouble. But they have a full week to soak it in then refocus and prep for the last series of the year. I think that’s very true. Cleveland or Tampa won’t have that luxury, especially if it goes 7.
  2. I am quite nervous about the WS. I can’t even put my finger on why. Maybe it’s just PTSD as a fan but getting this close and losing would be as crushing a loss as a fan as I can remember, and there’s been a lot between the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Looking for all the optimism I can going into this series. Can’t stop thinking about it!
  3. We’re going to be favored regardless but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about the extended time off…. Cant get this close and not finish the job.
  4. I’ll be there. Not expecting a lot to cheer about but will be pleasantly surprised if there is. I alone know 40-50 people going to this game to cheer on the Crew. Should be a home away from home!
  5. Like everyone else - very cautiously optimistic but preparing for disaster.
  6. I’ve never been a “fire this guy” person but someone has to take the fall for this at some point. I don’t know if I’ve ever watched a major league team be so unbelievable incapable of anything productive at the plate for this long of a stretch.
  7. I am pretty pessimistic. Stearns's refusal to get this team a top of the line starter is going to continue to weigh them down among other things. The problem is, I don't see a lot of realistic impact arms available on the FA market this winter and the farm system is so depleted that I don't know how he gets an impact player via trade either. I think next year is going to be a rough one as well.
  8. This is the first time I’m really truly questioning the decision making of Stearns. Especially if they make Pomeranz a starter
  9. I was really hopeful that this team could go on a run and add a few valuable pieces, but at this point I just don't see how Stearns can buy. Although if you get to the playoffs anything can happen, I have a hard time seeing this team get much of anywhere. I don't think he'll sell though and I don't think standing pat is the right move either. It's tough. What a deflating loss
  10. You don't need to be good enough to beat those teams on a consistent basis throughout the year. You have to be good enough to beat those teams for one 7 games stretch of games.
  11. I think assuming we know anything about what the Mets are going to do is stretching it, me included. I will say I think you may be giving the Mets too much credit there in terms of potential creativity and intelligence.
  12. I thought this same thing. Everyone talks constantly about prospect pools and rightfully so but blissfully ignores recently graduated from the farm or in the farm with major league experience. Call me crazy but I would include Burnes, Peralta, + in an offer
