  1. I ask only because I’m unsure, but if the brewers were unable to come to a 2 year deal with Woody, could they just outright release him? If he’s likely to miss the entire season, his contract is a significant sum for an organization like the Brewers.
  2. And what have they done in the playoffs? 3 straight exits in the first round. pitching and defense gets you to the dance but doesn’t crown you. Hitting rules. Braves, dodgers, Astros, all had great lineups WITH pitching.
  3. You being condescending and calling people kid is rather ironic.
  4. How many series have they won since their World Series appearance? Pitching and defense only works if you have some hitting too. Neither team has hitting.
  5. That’s the true reason for the devastation, we will probably never have anything near this pitching again and we absolutely unequivocally wasted it. Out in 2 games with a whimper. Rather pathetic honestly.
  6. Couldn’t care less. Baseball is over for me. MLB does an awful job marketing the playoffs and the sport in general.
  7. Another soul crushing exit. The older I get, the less opportunities I have to see this team win one. Massive changes needed and expected otherwise what’s the point.
  8. A complete overhaul needs to be done. Fundamental changes. These hitting coaches are awful, roster construction has been awful, zero bats developed. Really impressive how bad our minor league development of hitters has been.
  9. Felt this yesterday. Why I proclaimed the series and season over. Enjoy retirement Craig, time for a major shakeup. Pitching and defense isn’t working. Not 1 playoff series win since 2018
  10. I seemingly post this every year at the end of the season, I feel like that’s now. Baseball breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall all alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Questioning my love for this team at the moment. But I know I’ll be back next February. Until then, go Crew.
  11. Nobody can convince me else wise , they built that stadium on cursed grounds.
  12. This team trying to outsmart itself constantly. Blatantly clear choices and they take a guy hitting below the Mendoza line
  13. Ump squeezing the brewers but giving the d backs that low strike…

  15. If I remember correctly, the southern league specifically is allowing pitchers to experiment with throwing substances.
  16. I’d rather they get nothing and make David sit out for a year than Mark collecting more cash for baseball cards.
  17. I’d demand prospects if it were up to Arnold but it’s not, unfortunately it’s up to Mark. I’d not be surprised at cheap mark if he took money to pocket.
  18. Welp, I just posted about an hour ago I felt they had one more big move left before the end of the month and they sure did.
  19. The two players aren’t really comparable. Bleier’s FIP is around 3.01 the last 3 years and Suter’s is 3.78. Bleier also has two more years of control. Perfect guy for a 7th/8th inning role.
  20. Feel ok about this team overall. Signed Vazquez to a 2 year, 17 mil deal. traded Ruiz, and Valerio for Diaz. Traded Tyler Black for Blesier, really like his stuff and probably an overpay. Resigned Jace if the $ is right but also ok with Turang after a month or two and signing a minimum guy in the meantime. Fill out the bench with rookies/roster invites. Leaves money to add as well. C: Christian Vazquez ($8.5M) 1B: Rowdy Tellez ($5.30M) 2B: Luis Urias ($4.30M) 3B: Yandy Diaz ($2.8M) SS: Willy Adames ($9.20M) LF: Christian Yelich ($26.00M) CF: Garret Mitchell ($0.70M) DH: Jesse Winker ($8.25M) Bench OF: Joey Wiemer ($0.70M) Utility: Jace Peterson ($3.5M) Utility: Sal Frelick ($0.70M) Backup C: Victor Caratini ($2.80M) RF: Tyrone Taylor ($0.70M) SP1: Corbin Burnes ($11.40M) SP2: Brandon Woodruff ($11.00M) SP3: Freddy Peralta ($3.50M) SP4: Eric Lauer ($5.20M) SP5: Adrian Hauser ($3.60M) CL: Devin Williams ($3.20M) RP: Luis Perdomo ($1.00M) RP: Matt Bush ($2.00M) RP: Peter Strzelecki ($.7M) RP: Hoby Milner ($1.10M) RP: Richard Bleier ($3.00M) RP: Aaron Ashby ($1.00M) RP: J.C. Mejía ($.7M) Payroll is 7.04% under budget
  21. I’d want an overpay if I’m sending that much major league talent back. One more piece and a lottery or two.
