  1. Every win regardless who it’s against is so damn important right now. Reds schedule is among the easiest in baseball and brewers getting hit hard by covid. Need to get as much space between us and them.
  2. Disappointed they couldn’t land one of the big fish. Class is still pretty good but not great. Mendez makes zero sense not signing. I feel like our farm system is in really good shape. Traded almost nothing from the top 30 and a lot of talent in the A levels.
  3. So pumped Caden signed! Really wanted him.
  4. Hell of a series for the Brewers. And to top it off, Counsell stole a day of rest for both Wong and Garcia. Love it.
  5. For all the talk about the Braves bullpen being awful, Heard BA and Rock saying this on Friday. It looks pretty damn good to me.
  6. Initially so did I. But then I looked at some other peripherals such as Norris’ break on his change up and his strikeout numbers out of the pen. His LHH splits are pretty damn good too.
  7. Not a great start at all for Curtiss. Imploded last night and immediately gives up a base hit.
  8. On a side note, mlb “insiders” continue to have zero clue what the brewers will and won’t do. I think this year taught me not to listen to any of it. Under Stearns I cannot think of 1 trade that was significant that has been tipped off. Plouffe is still the worst.
  9. Angels and Rockies are two of the most incompetent organizations I’ve ever seen. Not sure if having a bad strategy is really better than no strategy. Add the Diamondbacks in this as well. Tons of guys on expiring deals they should have moved.
  10. Rodriguez to Atlanta. Probably last move.
  11. Trevor Plouffe should never be considered a reliable journalist or source again. Guy pounded the table for weeks claiming the brewers were gonna make these huge moves. I’m totally fine with the deadline we had because I thought the prices were insane but he couldn’t have been more wrong.
  12. If you look at all the moves as a collective whole, good trades. At the deadline, way underwhelming so far.
  13. 4 more years I believe. Pretty good trade.
  14. I know it's almost the deadline, but I would still bet on the side of us not being done yet. There will be breaking trades announced all the way up to when tonight's east coast games get started - particularly for team like the Brewers who play pretty close to the vest. Paperwork just takes time to get processed and I don't think many of the baseball trade gurus on twitter get trade info quickly from the Brewers unless it involves a team they have better contacts with. That’s pushing it a little far. Usually 30 minutes after deadline is the furthest I’ve seen.
  15. Bryant to the giants.
  16. If the prices haven’t come down astronomically, I’d rather they not make any other moves.
  17. Prices scared Stearns away. Guys lost their minds this deadline.
