But we’re all still here, following along. And we will continue to. It sucks, it’s frustrating, irritating(am I forgetting anything?) but it is just 2 games.
When you bargain bin shop, this is what you get 95% of the time. It’s ok tho, he’s not alone in his struggles. Just a very poor performance top to bottom.
Man I sure as heck hope not. If he looks like this at game 1, what would he look like by game 150? Brewers best hope is him finding some semblance of power.
At least you didn’t invest into him buying his signed bats, balls, cards. Imagine being that guy…( I am that guy) he went from my favorite player to a guy I don’t like watching anymore
I’m all for ripping Yelich. Guy is paid like a franchise star and for 2 straight years has been average. I don’t believe he will ever be a 3/4 of his former self.
This isn’t the right approach. Ashby pitched well given the circumstance. Cousins had no control in a tough spot. First game man, strap in for a wild ride.
This feels like a bit of an overreaction. Would it require 4 top 10 prospects? Sure. Absolutely. Maybe more. Would they all be 1,2,3,4,5,6. No. Absolutely not.
You trying to depress us? Kidding. But also great work summarizing why this is the hardest sport for the little guy to win. It’s why we need to be creative but also extremely aggressive in the windows we do have, like right now. Team needs to be pushing chips in to get over the edge. Don’t feel like they’ve done that in either the trade deadline or so far this offseason.
I think your frustration is a little misguided but also totally understood. Has it felt like the brewers have been a move or two away from the World Series? Yes. Is it frustrating that they haven’t made a significant addition while being so close? Yes. Still a really good team but it does feel like every year we’re having this same debate. When is the year to go all in? When Burnes and Woodruff are on the last years of there deals? If not now, when? Also, keep in mind that just because they didn’t sign anyone of note(Cutch is fine but not significant), that doesn’t rule them out from a acquiring some yet.
This is our window to win the World Series. Prospects are just that, prospects. I’m all in on bringing Reynolds in. Young, controllable, top of the lineup talent.
Honestly that seems a little light but also not far away. It would definitely hurt which makes you feel like it’s a fair deal. Maybe throw in 1 more top 15 prospect.
They desperately need a top of the order bat. Whether that comes today or when the season resumes after the lockout. I would prefer to have added a bat before the lockout but think it’s unlikely with the prices floating around. Bryant is still the dream acquisition. Covers third, and can play outfield and DH when off day needed. Yea, keep dreaming... That isnt happening. Hence the word “dream”

It’s almost better that way tho. We all know they aren’t in the market for the majority of the guys signing today. Rather forget about it then get upset about it. Best we can hope for are some contract extensions or a trade.
