  1. Baseball is so damn dumb sometimes. Brewers have been the better team and will lose this game.
  2. I really love Burnes, and it’s been such a pleasure to watch Woody throw the ball… but I think Freddy is my favorite.
  3. I don’t think I’m with ya there classifying Hader as just a “relief arm” but sure. Yep. Ok.
  4. Very fair. It was more of a mid day discussion with no other place to post it. Hey, people have been talking about trading Hader on here for years.
  5. The thought behind the trade is that we will not be able to resign both Woodruff and Burnes, moving one of them at peak value this offseason would allow you to acquire a premier bat and fill a massive hole in the lineup while still having the ability to sign a free agent pitcher. Stearns has continuously stated, acquire and develop young controllable talent. The other part however is to retain said talent. I would obviously rather keep Burnes but It's no different then you all speculating moving Hader for literally 100 pages over the last 3 years.. it's fun and not serious.
  6. The Rays wouldn't even entertain the trade. Maybe not, but the Brewers are actually giving up more and when you consider it's a proven commodity for an unproven with the highest of ceilings. Again, this is just fun. Seems like that is frowned upon these days.
  7. I want to preface my statement by saying by no means is this a trade I expect to happen at the deadline or even happen period; THIS IS JUST PURE WILD FUN. With that being said, is it possible the Brewers trade from a position of depth like Starting Pitching this offseason for a young controllable 3rd baseman. Peralta is locked up so that would rule him out IMO and Burnes and Woodruff each have 3 years of control after this year. With an extension for both probably unlikely, I'm thinking of a kind of trade the Rays philosophy supports, which is to trade at maximum value, bare with me cause this is wild. Burnes and Hiura for Wander Franco. Yeah, it's completely nuts but Hiura would be best at DH and Burnes and Glasnow would be a fantastic 1-2 punch, probably the best in baseball. For the Brewers they now have a long term solution at 3rd. Baseball Trade Value has the Rays getting 134 value while the Brewers would get back 125 in Franco. Please be easy on me guys haha.
  8. I've seen a lot of updated lists from guys I respect and certainly have more knowledge than most of us that have him rated as high as 9th. He's untouchable. Wouldn't think it's up for much of a discussion as he will be the starting CF in less than 2 years. Trading Small or Turang would be a tough pill to swallow but for the right player seems realistic.
  9. A win tonight really puts the Brewers in a fantastic spot going into tomorrow. Guarantees at the ASB the division lead would be no less than 6 games. By all means not a "must win" but certainly one you want having to play Cincinnati for another series directly after the ASB. I would think high end bullpen is a full go tonight and Counsell will use everything to win with Woody going tomorrow.
  10. I never wanna hear these hacks call another Brewer game again and these umpire belong in jail, and little league ball.
  11. Oh sure Craig, use Rowdy against a righty instead of lefty.. brilliant. Kidding but still salty over not using him in the 5th.
  12. These guys are pretty terrible on the field, and it actually stuns me that Brian O’Nora’s offseason “legal trouble” didn’t lead to him at least being suspended a year if not fired altogether. MLB and the MLBUA continue to prove themselves to be a pretty spineless organizations. Screw him and screw human trafficking. Scum of the earth and I think we can all agree on that. At least I hope so.
  13. Not trying to be mean/condescending…but you really should read up on base running with less than two outs. Jace getting to 3rd there is very far from certain. He would have had to bank on him not catching that ball pretty early considering that it didn’t bounce very far from him. I can’t go back and change history to see, but I’m not sure he is getting to third there. I can for certain say he would have been nowhere even in the same zip code as home though. “Not trying to be mean/condescending…” proceeds to be extremely condescending. I’ve watched baseball for over 30 years, your opinion is yours and mine is mine. Peace be with you.
  14. “Sorry man, not how it works. Hiura got to second because he had nothing to lose if it was caught or not. Jace would have had to wait unsure if it would be caught or not (less than two outs). Considering it was in RF behind first base he probably would have been halfway. After he didn’t get there Jace would have hustled to second. Say it with me, simple really. I can’t help you if you don’t think Jace gets to 3rd on that. Absolute waste of time arguing back and forth.
  15. Absolutely zero chance that is even close to an RBI had he stayed at first. Might not have even been 2 and 3 So say it with me, if Jace was ahead of Keston and he got to 2nd, what base would Jace have been on? Maybe not an RBI but definitely 2nd and 3rd.
  16. That would have been an RBI there if not for the dumbest base running.
  17. They called him Freddy Garcia before. Also Pina should not be in this game anymore. He’s missing balls in the dirt and the hand sure looks like it’s bothering him.
  18. This announcer is mispronouncing literally everybody’s names..
  19. Miley has as many extra base hits as Yelich has in the last ten games.
  20. Same issues as last year so it all points to knee. I know he’s working extremely hard but seems he doesn’t trust the knee or have confidence in it. That or he’s suddenly lost the ability to barrel the ball up at all.
  21. Adames all the way. I truly think Yelich is done as a power threat.
  22. I think Yelich needs to be done hitting 3rd or cleanup. Top of the lineup.
  23. I definitely understand the logic of getting as much as possible out of Lauer and resting the pen but realistically that may be our best chance all game. 2 on 1 out with Rowdy available against a lefty.
