    I bring up wins because if someone says he doesn't "give us a chance to win," a win in the stat category would prove that argument incorrect. I'm not saying his numbers are awesome, but many times he does "give us a chance to win." Tonight we definitely had a chance to win while Bush was in.

    You brought up his wins not me. He also had 11 losses. Arbitrary and really useless. I don't think this incarnation of Bush is good. He wasn't ever really good last year. If we have a better pitcher he should start. Someone said he didn't give us a chance to win (that's why I put it in quotes up there). That's when I brought up the win stat. If you noticed, I quoted the earlier post when I brought that up. I'm not saying Bush is great, but he definitely could work as a bottom of the order pitcher. We shouldn't trade him because with Capuano's injury, Bush is our only option to step into the rotation should someone get hurt.

    Let's see here, if Braun doesn't take his time in throwing to second, then Hall gets that ball for an easy double play. Inning over. I can't blame Bush for that. His line should read 6IP 1ER.

    I'm going to call that roving crowd camera the "stalker cam" because it seems to be just creeping up on people and suprising them.

    For those on mlb.tv, I continuously refresh every half inning to keep it close in terms of delay. Throughout the broadcast the buffering adds up and builds up more delay. When you refresh it starts from scratch again.

    The blackouts are not to just get people to go to the games, but also to watch them on TV. The reason they black out away games is because they still should be broadcast locally. The mlb.tv doesn't have commercials, and no advertising is worse then programming with advertising. Hence, they want you to watch the game on tv.

    It depends on how "terrible" their pitching is. For a one run save, getting two outs and then getting the last guy down to two strikes and then give up a home run, I can deal wih that. However, a meltdown like Turnbow in 2006 is horrible where the ERA is above 10 for well over double digit innings, the walks are up there every outing, and he can't get ahead of hitters at all. I thnk they pulled the plug on Turnbow at the right time. Get him out of the closer role, have him do mop up the rest of the season, and then reasses for next year's spring training. That reassessment got Turnbow into the setup role where he was lights out for the first two months of the season and iffy the rest of the way. Going into this year Turnbow does not seem to be the setup man, long relief, or ever mop up. He seems to be the odd man out of sorts that will come in during important situations only if the other 3 relievers ahead of him (Torres, Riske, Mota) are unavailable or need a rest. We're holding onto him because there is a glimmer of hope he can get back to the greatness he had in 04-05. As far as Gagne goes, hasn't had control issues so far, just a few untimely home runs.

    Dusty didn't realy outmanage Ned. Bringing in a lefty PH knowing he's probably going to face Shouse. Pretty dumb.
