or you use Turnbow and then trust that another guy can close it out. 3 outs is 3 outs. Assuming we score in the top of the inning after turnbow.
  2. Pointer1VB
BTW, I was kidding. The guy in the clubhouse does exist. I know him and he does get me tickets from time to time (I know UeckerAddict).
  3. Pointer1VB
I see someone agrees that the "source" is bogus.
  4. Pointer1VB
Mom? That doesn't even make sense.
  5. Pointer1VB
The clubhouse workers KNEW! (I ask very little, but I'm going to have to ask you to trust me on that one). I doubt your "source" in the clubhouse even exists. If he exists, have him get me tickets for the weekend homestand in two week. Preferibly behind home plate where the players wives sit. Then I'll believe your "source."

What's the big deal with three days rest? Tell Wood and Prior that.
  7. Pointer1VB
ERA as a reliever 3.18 priceless I have no idea what you are getting at.
  8. Pointer1VB
SMALL SAMPLE ALERT That's my point.
  9. Pointer1VB
And why are people back to Jenkins bashing when he's hitting around .290 and a OBP around .360?
  10. Pointer1VB
Going into this game, Demaria had an ERA of 3.18 and a WHIP of 1.15. I refuse to assume he sucks because he gave up 2 runs in his first outing and 1 run here. He may suck, but I won't assume that early.
  11. Pointer1VB
I hate to say this in case anyone has been not watching carefully...Demaria is no good!! Indefensible this guy being called up and gakking at least 2 games. Ben Sheets gave up 7 runs last game. HE SUCKS!!! SEND HIM DOWN!!!
  12. Pointer1VB
Lehr or Wise would seem to be a lot better options than DeMaria. Both pitched yesterday.
  13. Pointer1VB
Can we please send this clown down. You mean to tell me we have nothing better than Demaria.....Maybe Yost should have a pitching coach that CALLS the shots. He gave up one run, that doesn't mean he's a clown. He put down the first guy pretty well too. You gotta put someone out there. Wise blew it yesterday, JDLR makes me shudder, Fernandez also makes me shudder, saving Turnbow for when we take the lead... Demaria seemed reasonable.

Dodgers are at home. If Turnbow comes in before the save op, who will pitch during the save op? Anyways, you can't win them all. We'll bounce back.
  15. Pointer1VB
    Nevermind.
  16. Pointer1VB
Wise has got it. He's a gamer.
  17. Pointer1VB
I believe from the end of the 2nd inning to the 7th inning stretch, both pitchers pitched perfect baseball. No runners on at all. That's 9 perfect innings of pitching right there. Luckily I had both Bush and Schmidt on my fantasy team tonight.

Unless they learn not to hack at everything the cubs are going down. I rather enjoyed the last 5 words of that sentence.
  19. Pointer1VB
On mlb.TV, both Hardy and Lee's hits looked like homers off the bat (Lee was even doing his staring walk). Both easily caught at the wall.
  20. Pointer1VB
Just got back from Shea. Good game. I've now seen 8 games at Shea and the Mets have yet to win one (and 5 are against the Brewers). I'll be going tomorrow, so mark a big W for Sheets.
  21. Pointer1VB
Wise's AVG against may have been around .200, but a WHIP that low is impossible. The lowest you'll see is someone like Santana with a .9somthing (in fact, Wise had a .96). Turnbow was a 1.08 las year (which is excellent) and sheets has been around 1 in the last 2 years.
  22. Pointer1VB
Wait, there's a baseball game today?
  23. Pointer1VB
I'm guessing that this time of season has many more active members then probably any other week of the season.
  24. Pointer1VB
The guy took out the vocals, added a baseball bat crack, and a crowd yelling after the hit. Obviously an original composition (sarcasm).

Man, I just realized I need to buy Abbey Road to get that song now. I'm craving it. Also, what are all the songs on the 1982 highlight video. I need to get some of them and create a Brewers mix. A few I remember are... I'm Winning Celebrate Good Times What are the others?
