It’s gotten a bit too late to give Lindblom much more of a chance at the major league level this year. Much more palatable to give him another look in early 2022, if he has still looked ok in AAA up to that point. But I think they have plans behind plans behind plans, and Lindblom is in some plan between C and Z.
Wow, never realized how Zobrist went from rock-bottom bad at age 26 (OPS+ of 4!) to the highest bWAR position player in the American League at age 28. Hope springs attorney.
This makes the most sense to me, making sense of what he has looked like before and after the break. Time to take a breath and reset can make a big difference. We’ll see. I’m excited to see!
Put me down for Aguilar. Big need, solid upside, not a long-term commitment, shouldn't cost too much, and there's a high floor there in the fact that even if he flames out, he should at least be fun to watch.
I think if you put him on a rehab assignment it ups the chances of losing him to a claim later on. Right now, he has to go straight from missing spring and the start of the season to a MLB roster if somebody claims him. Probably the best shot to sneak him through. Great point. Hope you’re right.
Well, we got 0.7 bWAR / 0.5 fWAR out of Nottingham. That’s not nothing. I had higher hopes, for sure. Still do, TBQH. Hoping he’s overlooked and unclaimed.
