They can always move Houser back into the rotation if one of the starters stumble.
-
Yes you always ask for the moon but don't always get it.
-
Maybe Nelson will close down the road Joe ? But I agree what you said about Houser but now and for the future.
-
Williams should be up closing games in San Antonio. You also have to think Supak could take place of one those 4A guys in the rotation. -
he is another guy who might be a guy to watch for a potential starter.

2019 Farm System Rankings & Prospect Valuations
brewmann04 replied to sveumrules's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
A quick question for everyone who will be the Top 5 Potential Starting Pitching in the Minor League Systems right now. -
I be curious if the Brewers have Reached out to either Moose or Grandal about either signing extensions or being moved to resign with us in the offseason.
-
Joey some of me says your right but think the coat for the bullpen arms will be costly and don't see the guys in the lineup hitting consistently they have been bad this year and in the past especially win men on Base. Maybe they could find a bat too who knows but I do agree the rotation has looked better.
-
I think they will be standing pat no major move IMO

Relief Pitching Options

i think the Giants ask for a second player. -
the starters these last 4 games have been good but the relief pitchers have been bad.But i guess that Chase inability to keep the ball in the park might be a reason. but it a guy is going good leave him in there.
-
Those ground balls hit anywhere else he would been out of the inning but the offense needs to find its way.
-
that not the brewers way to buy starting pitchers they did make those trades for CC and Grienke but don't see DS making that kind of move or should he

Relief Pitching Options

Dubon and Ray might have to be traded to get smith. -
They never found a replacement for Knebel that what hurt. The 2 of the young 3 arms failed as starters which set this team back. Chacin also has failed to perform like last season that has been another issue.
-
DS imo has to find at least one quality starter and think they will be ok
-
Burnes goes down who comes up Williams or Wilson
-
They need Cory to come back healthy in the pen next year. DS also needs to find at least another starter for next season.
-
i agree Burnes needs to be sent down at this point.
-
i wonder if any team will look to trade for Claudio or Albers ?
-
but jackson was our best reliever today?
-
I am not sure what went wrong with Corbin but if the Brewers still want him to be a future starter then he needs to go to San Antonio.
-
The Brewers had some career years last year and they did put the money in on the ability of the young 3 pitchers to take the next step which so far hasn't happened. The bullpen took a crushing blow with the injury to Knebel and never found that kind of replacement. CC has to change his mindset imo on how to use his starters longer especially when pitching well.
-
Yes CC needs to adjust to the issues of the Bullpen stay with a hot pitcher maybe a bit longer.
