  1. Thats what a reliever is supposed to do, awesome job Williams. Maybe that'll motivate the bats a bit
  2. Nah, hes pretty awful. I was really hoping he wasn't going to be on the team coming into this year. You can't come into a situation like that, and walk a score in on 4 straight pitches. It was just as pathetic when Holland did it last night. A relievers only purpose is to normally get through 1 or 2 batters, which he obviously can't do
  3. Maybe Drake can get out of it, but having him still on the roster this year is probably the biggest disappointment of the offseason for me
  4. How so? I don't think Cain even went back to the training room. I guess we'll see, but I think (hope) he's fine. Guess I don't like seeing Cain get injured, seeing my "closer" blow another 1 run lead in the 9th, and winning by getting 4 walks in the 10th because an opponents closer obviously isn't up to par yet after taking an eternity to sign. A win is a win I guess, but I think I'm not as high on it because I'd like to see a win where we don't really have to worry much. I'd be happy with a blowout victory at some point here
  5. Don't mean to be a debbie downer, but does this win seem a little bittersweet?
  6. Didn't you hear all the Cubs fans booing Braun in Miller? Made me kind of sad lol
  7. Cain got hurt cuz Martinez doesn't know how to stretch at first. Nah I mean, why did Suter of anybody pinch run? That short of a bench?
  8. Seems like the home plate ump is actually giving decent calls tonight, as opposed to the entire Cubs series
  9. Another pathetic outing from the offense, sorry Chase
  10. Sad that there's so many boos for Braun in his home stadium
  11. #1 future Ace, Former Ace, #1, and today #2 future 1. Oh and Yelich's bat missing. That can't be a legitimate excuse. If you make the playoffs, you have to expect you're going to be batting against some of the best pitchers in the game, you have to be able to hit everybody
  12. This isn't on Barnes, he pitched well and got ground balls. These should be easy plays for the defense, that's what gave up the runs
  13. Can't watch the rest of this half inning, I'll turn it back on when the Brewers are up to bat
  14. This is a very frustrating inning to watch. It's probably more frustrating for Barnes, seeing as he got 3 ground balls so far and no outs due to bad defense. Thames should've let that roll to Villar
  15. Ouch, wouldn't have been able to turn 2 in that spot, could've had one guy out somewhere though. Thats rough
  16. Not a bad walk, don't want to let Heyward hurt you. Put yourself in a double play situation now
  17. Really? I'm on FS1 and they came back in time. On foxsports go on the fs wisconsin stream, I was looking at something else during the commercial, and I heard "BANDY SCORES!"
  18. Only reason Bandy doesn't score is because it should've been caught, made the right decision holding up initially. Horrible defense by Heyward, can't let the Cubs get away with that now. We need to score from that mistake
  19. well that was unfortunate, easy for us to say that should've been caught, the guy couldn't even see the ball lol
  20. WHAT A GAME for some reason i honestly had a feeling something like this was gonna happen AWESOME
  21. Except for last season, BA even stated the fact that the Brewers took the season series from them last year... *Mod Edit: Post was edited. Reminder that using swear words is against the board policy even with the use of asterisks. Thank you.
  22. Still don't see a downside, seems like the counter argument is just, "nah, let's just roll with what we've got." We have a large enough sample size at this point to see what kind of players our 2Bs are. I won't be upset if they don't sign Phillips, as I'm expecting them to not, but I don't understand why we wouldn't do it. He'd be cheap and on a one year deal, and wouldn't cost a draft pick, wheres the downside for a proven veteran?
