    I understand the Vaughn thing is officially a thing. It's unfortunate. The lineup doesn't remotely look as scary with Frelick Pratt Hamilton bottom three. I'm genuinely shocked Pratt hasn't missed a start yet. Murphy must be under strict orders.

    Never understand why teams like Brewers just don't go out and try to find upgrade now instead of waiting till deadline. I'd rather have trade pieces now than wait another month. It will come down to 8 minutes before the deadline to find another bullpen arm. Takes two to tango i know.

    Numbers do lie at least in this case. Which version would you prefer? I get your point but also the Counsell version could play passable left field. This version is a drain on flexibility.

    Yelich is also unable to hit lefties at this point which hurts. If you are going to carry a dh only guy he should be a thumper with no problem hitting either way.

    Tried Ashby against Oakland late and same thing. Just leave him vulture win in the 6th inning. He doesn't have it late.

    Brewers are a good ballclub but when they play tight games against high caliber competition that doesn't give them extra outs they are just not going to win consistently imo. You just can't paper over the lack of depth in the lineup. Any lefty starter you have to play either Mitchell or Frelick which is bad. Then throw in Yelich and Ortiz you are already at 3 outs.
