  1. Do not underestimate Arnold doing his old boss a solid. Next up Burnes for Mr. Met
  2. If Mark A is weighing in on fo matters as some have reported then we are heading for a brutal fall. Taylor was out of a job so understand dumping him but Houser has to be kept in some role imo. Things just do not add up as a team trying to compete. If Burnes and Adames are here for spring training it is an epic fail. Please just get someone who doesn't need surgery just to play.
  3. Good deal for the kid and great deal for the club. If he gets hurt or something he's secure. If he's Acuna Brewers win big. Put him in the lineup day one of spring and never take him out. This franchise is at a crossroads and him being the new face comes at a great time.
  4. Rickie Weeks? Wow. Mattingly would be great. Call Molina and see if he's interested. Anyone but Kapler who has bombed in two jobs already and lost the clubhouse in both.
  5. Agree with this. Counsell definitely underachieved given the pitching alone. He is better than most not as good as some. Now if he can get 8 mil to do what he does great. This is the same team that went to arby with a Cy young winner for 100k. Mark is a cheap guy and Counsell got tired of it. No hard feelings from me.
  6. Brewers need to rebuild right now with a good young manager who has a rep for working with young players. Do not get hung up on trying to show Counsell who is boss and beat them with Joey Votto etc... Just off load Burnes and company build through the draft and see them in the playoffs in 3-5.
  7. People can have their opinions of course and I hope that someone will pin Counsell down on the specifics but I believe he just feels he has a better chance to win in Chicago. No more no less. If true he's right. Now Brewers rival has all the Intel about them and it's getting late early for the crew.
  8. To me this dates back to all star break last year trading your closer. You were winning and then you traded a key piece to save money. You lost the clubhouse and left Counsell to do damage control after things went south. To me right then and there he decided he's not coming back no matter what the circumstances are. Now the fact he doubled his salary is icing on the cake. He wasn't on a world tour because he Really wanted to be back. He left because he wants a shot at the Ohtani of the world instead of the Rowdys of the world. I hate it but in the end my opinion Counsell was super overrated. When he first got here he was doing some different stuff around bullpen use and stuff. Lately pretty basic cookie cutter managing. He is good not great. He will win though because Cubs are going to spend monet because they promised him they would otherwise he would have just stayed here.
  9. Great games. Bullpen meltdowns are tough to bounce back from but both teams can slug so that helps.
  10. It is crazy how good this Phillies team is in the box. Unbelievable
  11. Castellanos hitting 7th. Completely ridiculous. Brewers picked up deadline guys to hit 3-4. 😳
  12. Phillies are just incredible. Especially in that park. Everything hit hard goes over the fence.
  13. Braves could use Burnes too.
  14. The manager knew the game was the 7th inning and did what he had to do. Well played. More managers need to take note.
  15. I don't think Counsell goes to his closer in a big spot in the 7th. We probably get Peguero giving up a couple runs. There are better managers out there my friends. Trust me.
  16. Bats bats bats. I say again. Phillies just devastating the Braves with power shots. Nice Castellanos should have been a Brewers a few years ago. He was perfect fit. He's a dude.
  17. The Dodgers seem to sign everyone but they let Seager get away who was a home grown stud. Gm should be on the hot seat.
  18. I saw the Brewers beat up on Dbacks in Chase field two years ago and at the time I thought they were the worst team I had seen in a long time. They were pathetic. Brewers not being able to have any playoff success since 2018 is just remarkable to me.
  19. This marketplace sets up so good for Arnold and the Brewers to get back max value for Burnes and any other pitchers they want to deal. Big market teams flaming out like this going to drive up the price. I don't even want to hear about Burnes coming back and taking a draft pick. Now is the time.
  20. Robert's is definitely getting fired.
  21. That's true just given the choice I trust the big bats over the good to decent pitching. Brewers pitching never seems to show up as advertised so let's try something new.
  22. Bats. Bats. Bats. You can talk all you want Brewers about pitching but in the playoffs give me the guys who can change a game with one swing. Rangers too. You know Astros going to hit. The thing is you can pitch around one guy maybe even two but when you are stacked a hit and a walk become three runs.
  23. Brewers should see what Orioles would give us for Burnes. They need a number one.
  24. Dodgers in big trouble but they have bats so it's never over. Braves proved that also tonight. That's what hurt Brewers. Once they got down you knew it was over.
  25. Not sure they want to part with them but yeah I would too except they seem to all get hurt. Shelby Miller is pitching. That says alot about where they are.
