Every argument you have had is a strawman. I just asked a simple question and you have not answered it once. What is the plan to win a world series this year or next? That is the goal.

You said they have plenty of quality pitching on the way so who needs those guys. Keep everyone trade nobody and ride with prospects. Bad call.

The Mets and Brewers have roughly the same chance to win a World series. At least they went for it. I'm guessing Stearns will make a difference.

I'm not going back in time. I'm talking right now 2023. Nobody has yet to address winning a world series in the time period of having Burnes and Woodruff. Now if your answer is it cannot and will not be done say that. Making up stuff like Robert Gasser is going to make us forget Burnes and Ashby is the new Woodruff is nonsense.

You made a statement that was nonsensical. Gauging interest doesn't mean they for sure were going to deal him however my point is we have no idea what they could have made happen given what they have to deal. My question isn't going to get answered it appears so I will leave it for another day. I gather there is no plan outside of winning the central getting bounced and then watching Burnes and Woodruff pitch for the Yankees and Dodgers the next season. Not awesome but I guess that's all we can do according to everyone here.

Just saw that Mets were gauging the market for Alonzo at the deadline. You would be surprised at who was available for the right price. He would have moved the needle.

I'm just adding in a first round draft pick who a year ago was a top 5 prospect for them. I mean hey what's the difference between him and the others you named. You are definitely not to be taken seriously on this topic. Who needs Burnes and Woodruff let em walk!! We still have Adrian Houser!!

I think with a healthy Woody they have enough to win in the current environment. Next year is it your take they let it play out and collect draft picks? How do they max what they have for this final season given this season will end in a blizzard of shutouts come playoff time.

Ok. You guys win. There is nothing that could be done. We must accept our fate as a first round exits and continue on the road to year 52 without a world series appearance much less win..I don't know who they could have gotten however just saying it doesn't make it so. I get it Brewers are going to win the rough and tumble central division. Pop champagne and douse Uke again. I guess that's the goal. Wild.

So I ask again. What is the plan? Shrug your shoulders let the pitchers walk then win 84 games a year and bow out in round one for the next five years? How do you win a world series? That's the goal.

Unless you make an offer that can't be refused. Brewers have 5 of the top 60 prospects in baseball. That's pretty good place to start. By the time they get to the show there pitching will be all gone. Now is the time.

Having Woodruff back definitely raises the ceiling on what this team can be but the offense being this bad hurts. It's why going all in for a bat would have been right move.

Not sure why you get behind Contreras 3 0 and don't just walk him and pitch to Santana who is non competitive. White Sox need a new manager.
