I think it came down to they didn't think he could get the job done on defense. Brewers deserve credit for making him a two way guy.
  2. Bulldogboy
What Contreras is doing is sick.
  3. Bulldogboy
    Dunn 😆
  4. Bulldogboy
    Willy is allergic to rbi.
  5. Bulldogboy
I agree with this. My stance is where ever he is he needs to be playing. Sitting on the bench for a week is no bueno. In a perfect world he would go down and rake.
  6. Bulldogboy
Hudson is incredible. Can't believe Dodgers gave him away.
  7. Bulldogboy
Dunn is exactly what they mean by AAAA hitter. He guesses all the time. If he guesses right he can hit if not he's auto out. Looking at strike three is proof.
  8. Bulldogboy
Adames should not be hitting 4. Problem is there are no good options.
  9. Bulldogboy
My point is he said Murphy did it because he gave us the best chance to win the game. That makes zero sense because if true Monteserio would be playing all the time especially against lefties. Just say he thought the game was basically over so he put the bench in. Don't try to make it out that Murphy is this strategic genius.
  10. Bulldogboy
So why don't we just start Monteserio against lefties? I still don't think you have answered my question. Why in the 7th and not just all game? We are trying to win right?
  11. Bulldogboy
Ok. So to recap Murphy saw we were down 5 runs and needed a spark in order to perhaps make a comeback so he pinch hit his third best hitter season to date in order to get on base machine Monteserio up to have best chance in that situation and because he walked twice Murphy made the right call because Turang would have not been able to do this if given similar opportunities. Ok. I got it. Murphy is the new Billy Martin. Simple question if Monteserio is the best option against a lefty in the 7th inning why not in the first??Why are we waiting until the 7th to unleash our best case scenario? Also who on this team do we trust to play every day regardless of pitcher. Yelich Adames and Contreras that's it?
  12. Bulldogboy
You have to be joking 🙃
  13. Bulldogboy
So if that's the case by your account then Turang is a platoon guy who should not be wasting ab against lefties. Why isn't Monteserio starting against lefties every day?Why is Turang ok to hit against them until we need a big comeback then we call for our on base guy? Stop it. Nonsense.
  14. Bulldogboy
So? As you saw they almost won the game and your borderline all star was out. So you're saying Murphy the great manager he is went to Turang and explained we aren't winning this game so I'm going to pack it in and let Andrew hit here? I doubt it. Turang has been in a little mini slump since moving up in lineup. Does he see it as manager doubt or we quit? That's what we need to watch for.
  15. Bulldogboy
I'm shocked that basically a gold glove defensive player who is a borderline all star who hits leadoff was pinch hit for just for kicks in a game you needed offense and nobody really was surprised. I wonder what the clubhouse is thinking.
  16. Bulldogboy
Brewers miss having a Bryce Wilson type guy in the pen. Herget looked decent getting a save bring him back and get rid of V.
  17. Bulldogboy
You said the goal of this season is to win. I said development of young guys. Sounds like you agree with me after all.
  18. Bulldogboy
If that were the case Burnes would still be here. The goal is to develop the next wave of young talent to set you up to stay relevant.
  19. Bulldogboy
Rowdy looks to be in Vogelbach shape.
  20. Bulldogboy
The key is his development gets you closer to your goal than anything Jake Bauers does. Is Jake Bauers a fine guy to have around? Sure. Is this season about Chourio or Bauers. Definitely Chourio.
  21. Bulldogboy
This is laughable. Comparing a 20 rookie with a 8 year contract to minor league all star Jake Bauers is ridiculous. Is this Murphy grandson?
  22. Bulldogboy
Who can blame him? Been jerked around a ton. You play him and live with it.
  23. Bulldogboy
    Why is Turang out?
  24. Bulldogboy
    Unbelievable. Bad bullpen haunts
  25. Bulldogboy
Hmm Ortiz is going to continue to make the manager look ridiculous.
