I said starting Ashby on Friday was bad as soon as it was announced. You can check. It wasn't hard. He does things like this that are very easy calls.

I think so yes. I think his ability to make guys believe and focus on the task at hand that day made him worthy. That said his in game management was poor in my opinion and this year has been more of the same. Two things can be true as being a big league manager is multiple jobs. On the whole Murphy has done a good job but he isn't going to help a bad club win a couple games they shouldn't with tactics. He's not Sparky Anderson.

My position is Murphy had pretty good rosters and his shortcomings as a game manager were not as important. This year the roster is worse and he isn't going to be able to make up for it. Simple position.

The pitching is in worse shape than the offense. Score 6 last year and it was a win
