The Contreras conversation is wild to me. If you don't think he should play 7 days a week it's like you are saying dfa the guy. All I am saying is given his injury and given he's been well below his standard a couple more days off here and there wouldn't hurt. Was there any reason he had to dh today? Not really. Haase handled things fine. Put Perkins in the field for another lefty bat and keep Yelich as the dh. Swinging the bat has been Contreras problem. A full day off a couple times a week would make Haase better and healthier Contreras.

Let's not forget who started the rally today. Haase with a baseball hit. The guy can't do any worse throwing him in there a bit more.

Huge if true. Given that statement why In your opinion is he having the worst season of his carrer? Just happenstance? The guy is clearly hurt and has been all season. I give him credit for being a dog but he has hurt the team in this case by being limited. The options are not great but should he be playing 7 days a week at this point. I'd say no. It's not on Contreras to pull himself out. This is on the organization and the manager.

The guy you are talking about has a broken finger. In no other organization would he even be playing imo. The fact we are arguing over him sitting for a few games is nuts.

I don't understand this logic? How do we know what Haase would do if he got a week worth of ab. Nobody is saying he's a better player. Just that Contreras is killing them. Now if Murphy hit him 7th fine but apparently that isn't happening so the answer is just status quo?
