    Dont take Gomez's stats. But take what he can be, I'm sure if another team got Weeks for a wash via trade they would be pretty mad. The thing is we have watched Rickie and we (probably half) believe Rickie has a sky high ceiling, which was shown at the beginning of the year. Before that Rickie never had a great year, he was below average defensively and an average hitter who could draw walks, but K's a ton. Im just saying. The guys 23, one of the fastest players in the MLB which is extremely valuable defensively and offensively. He just needs to learn plate discipline and I am sure Sveum will be with him most of spring training. I wouldnt be suprised if he hit .270 this year and stole 40+ bases, with Escobar on the team who I will guess gets 30-40 stolen bases transforms our team into a team that would be very scary offensively and defensively. Imagine Escobar and Gomez getting a double steal because they are in the back of the rotation, and oh yeah you could put Rickie in for 20-30 stolen bases. Thats small ball offense with the big guys still in there.

    Question for everyone here, I turn 21 on Feb. 22nd and me and a couple of my friends who will be 21 are going to Vegas. The thing is, they want to go when I turn 21, on the 22nd. I was wondering if I would have to renew my ID so it has the horizontal layout, or if they would be able to tell because it says I turn 21 on 2-22-2010. Just trying to save a hassle. Thanks in advance! Also, anyone have any suggestions about what places to visit, cheap places to stay... Thanks again!

    I would like to see Escobar batting in the 9 hole with the pitcher batting 8th. His speed at the end of the lineup would result in more stolen bases because Weeks always seems to see a lot of pitches. Also with the power of Weeks it would be nice to have a guy who can get on base at a pretty decent clip before him. Its also a low stress place in the lineup so he can work on his patience.

    Another Free Agent STL pitcher? Hes ours next year! I agree Pineiro will be grossly overpaid. I wonder how much Webb would cost us? Would he agree to a short deal to work his value up again? Or do you think some team will just throw money at him with unlimited years. Webb would be great, but if we got him I hope the infield D steps up just a tad.

    How can you say Gamel will be a better defender? I am just wondering, Fielder looks pretty good at 1st, he just doesnt have range. But I dont know of any statistical evidence of any significance (only 3 games) of Gamel being better at 1B

    Honestly, Macha likes to shake up the lineup. Why hasnt he let Rivera start 3 games or even 2 in a row. Kendall has been nothing but disappointing.

    And how can someone say Villy isnt a good set-up man? He could be the best pitcher we have in the pen. Sure Hoffman seems untouchable but he throws 85 someones going to hit that too. Villy throws a ton of different pitches. I think Villy is a great set-up man, he was just a tad bit overused.

    Ennder you say its only a 2-3% better chance, but the batter was Kendall, the king of grounders and DP's.

    I hate Kendall. Why are we not bunting here? I dont get it, Gonzalez moves so far to the left side of the mound when he pitches, bunt to the right and maybe you get a single.
