I said all too much. As in Fielder, or in that nature. Obviously he wouldnt be dirt cheap, but in the way of getting a good player he would be cheaper then some.

What makes you believe its his career year? Its like saying Weeks had a career year in 07. McLouth hasnt played all too much

Ru... Melky isnt on the team. Its Cameron still.

What would it take to pry him from Pitt? I wouldnt imagine all too much, I just saw they stopped talks about a multi year deal, but he isnt a FA.

I could only dream of Dunn. This place would go ape poo.

Tris Speaker would be wonderful. Too bad hes on the permanent DL as of 50 years ago.. He woulda been perfect!

If the deal isnt good enough you spice it up. Throw in a mid level prospect with some upside that we dont necessarily need.

I dont think you can pencil in Lucroy just yet for '10. I would guess we will get a stop-gap til mid '10 or beginning of '11. Edit- Fixed Capitalized C in Lucroy

If it were Hollandsworth or Ledee I would puke. I guess its just for a 4th OF but still. Boring offseason. I want something exciting. These little signings are just teases.

I cant see how DM could pass up Johnson for Hart. Trade Hart for Johnson Trade Weeks for Cain? (Waiting for his "potential" is getting a little old) Have Escobar play SS Move Hardy to 3rd Call up Gamel to play RF **hate to rush the young guys but they will keep our budget low enough to get better pitchers** Sign Fuentes Lineup: 1. Escobar SS 2. Johnson 2B 3. Braun LF 4. Fielder 1B 5. Hardy 3B 6. Gamel RF 7. Cameron CF 8. Kendall C Bill Hall back to super utility Rotation 1. Gallardo 2. Cain 3. Parra 4. Bush 5. Soup Closer: Fuentes Lots of position changes I know, and it would never happen but what would you think?

How is Weeks better then Johnson at 2B? Their stats defensively are close. Same age, but Johnson can hit, he might not walk as much but he gets on base a little better, and makes better contact.

I wouldnt turn that deal down. If it was straight up I dont see why not. Its a lot easier to find a good hitting outfielder then it is to find a better hitting 2nd baseman. Would let us shop Weeks (even though his value is lower, but who knows if it will ever get higher) and let Gamel start playing OF. Just my 2 cents.
