    Collins has been playing some balls bad late in the OF, Is it possible Murphy is using the " if you don't play good defense that you sit a few games" . Plus Collins was picked off first a few games ago. Murphy stresses smart base running as well. Maybe Perkins defensively is taking priority in this series ???

    I wouldn't say the Phillies have a cupcake after tonight Arizona is still in the wildcard hunt, but yes Miami and Minnesota are looking forward to the Off season. LA surprisingly looks like a tough schedule with Ariz, Sea and SF having something to play for SD- Mets, Ariz and Mil playing for something but the CHI Sox will be a cakewalk (currently 2 GB of LA) Cubs- Mets, Reds have something to play for and the Cards might play Chicago tough with their rivalry We know after these two games, the Crew schedule will get tougher so interesting last few weeks of season.

    I think outside of Peralta, the starting pitching is pitching above their normal, As Drew Olson always said "regression to the mean will happen" it's a matter of when, hopefully it will last as long as it can.

    I'm not saying Corbin would .What I'm saying and said " Goodluck having him take a club friendly pay structure deal with salary deferments." is if there was any chance of him taking that kind of deal it's out the window by upsetting him. (of course this point is mute by his comments about turning down a two year deal today) You know how modern athletes tend to be about any negative comments they get, Especially by the team or lawyer representing them would be seen as an embarrassment/ jab at him which would be seen as a dress down to him. As it has been proven true by his comments towards the team in quotes and interviews today.

Both sides negotiated till the deadline assuming they must have known each sides numbers. So for a $740,000 difference you going to upset a top 3 player on the team. ( I understand finances can be tight when settling numbers overall , but a top 3 player on the team over that amount ?????) If he is a leader of the team as Arnold stated above. Then way to show the clubhouse how you will treat one of the best players on the team and leader let alone them over such a small amount in the grand scheme of things. To verbal dress him down in an arby hearing (where he is sitting right there) over less than a million difference??? Goodluck having him take a club friendly pay structure deal with salary deferments. If I were Corbin, I'd tell the Brewers to pound sand on any future extensions unless they paid top starter price, play out my arby years waiting to be traded or get out ASAP afterwards

    Remember, when talking about Brewers payroll each year, you need to included deferred payments in each year count towards payroll Braun 1.8 mil a year until 2031 Cain 1 mil a year till 2027 Yelich will be on the Brewers payroll till 2042 2.3 mil from 2031-2042

    of course you could use the other side of the coin, not having the stadium downtown is a positive for the fans not in the Milwaukee area. I know there are lots of people that wouldn't make the trip to a Brewer game since they wouldn't want to deal with the traffic of the city of Milwaukee's size. It would be interesting to see if/ which situation would be more beneficial (more Mil fans less state, or the situation that is currently) Of course if it was built downtown they may of had some sort of situation like in Minneapolis where parking on the outskirts and riding in as a possibility to make the situation moot.

    According to Manfred's statement on mlb.com the owners did offer a salary floor. I assume this also means that the owners requested a salary cap but I actually can't find anything that states what exactly the owners are requesting. They only proposed a floor and that is it. The cap is the CBT which is already in place and the players want that to increase to $250m while MLB has countered with as high as $220m. The floor was also rejected by the players union because there were no details about what happens if a team goes under the floor. There were also some suggestions by the league to go back to the 2 divisions per league with some realignment happening and an increase in the number of playoff teams 12-14. MLB would probably look more like the NBA in how the divisions would be set up so something like: AL1: 1.Yankees 2.Red Sox 3. Blue Jays 4. Nationals 5. Mets 6. Phillies 7. Orioles AL2: 1. Pirates 2. Reds 3. Guardians 4. Tigers 5. White Sox 6. Cubs 7. Brewers 8. Cardinals NL1: 1. Twins 2. Royals 3. Rays 4. Braves 5. Marlins 6. Rangers 7. Astros NL2: 1. Angels 2. Dodgers 3. A's 4. Padres 5. Mariners 6. Giants 7. Rockies 8. Dbacks I think to go by geography and keep some geographic rivals in your plan you switch the Pirates to AL1( Batlle of PENN) and switch Twins and Cards (battle of Missouri ) and MN/WIS if you want to keep Cards/Cubs rivalry just schedule more games between them since it will be unbalanced schedule due to not equal team divisions

    I guess they need to take alcohol out of clubhouse celebrations in the future and replaced it with sparkling juice since professionals can't act like professional adults something like this never happens again

    I'm going to appreciate and savor what could be Rodgers's last (or second last with no guarantees) ride to a Super Bowl with the Packers, He has been so fun to watch. Like all of you, I hope it's longer but with having to pay Adams and Alexander top dollar at their positions soon, Tonyan with his 11 TD's might need to be paid higher than originally expected, and Jenkins and Savage a year or two later., while already paying LT and DT top dollar, the cap will be tight even with a new TV deal you can only pay so many positions top dollar.     Is the Sinclair group tough negotiators? Last baseball season I dropped Dish because they lost Fox Wisconsin Switched to Youtube TV this year but on Oct 1st they couldn't come to an agreement and was dropped from YT TV Guess I'll wait till closer to baseball season to see if I have to switch to Hulu TV

    In that scenario. One would have to wonder how motivated the Tigers players would be to win either game looking forward to an off season with no incentive for them to play since I’m sure they want to see their families and not thinking of meaningless makeup games for them. Might as well say the Brewers would have to go 4-1 instead of 3-2
