  1. Look, fair points. Freddy is a 4/5 on the only team in baseball with more money than the Rothschilds, the Dodgers. But….the window is now all across the field in MKE. So you just gotta get into the post season and have a punchers chance. Lots of deep pieces that can do multiple innings in relief. MKE could win the thing by having three guys able to go 2+ innings in relief in Chad Patrick, Hall, Ashby and Gasser. Freddy Woody Miz Preister Hendo/Ashby/Patrick/Myers/Zerpa Heck, maybe we get lucky with a Letson as a late season bully piece.
  2. I can answer without looking at anything they might secure in a trade (knowing what is “realistic” for a return). It’s “no” for me. This was the winningest team in Baseball. They can win the whole thing. Freddy is too important for that. The system is very healthy. Longevity of the team is on firm ground without having to trade him. there are young players with the ability to take next steps in Chuorio, Felick, Turang, Durbin and Ortiz. It’s a time to play for this WS.
  3. Really happy to have Woody Back! He looked great last season. Let’s do it again.
  4. I would sign up for 3 @ $75M. Risk? Sure. But he looked fantastic at stretches. And I think he’s just coming into his own post surgery. You have to take a shot sometimes.
  5. I agree on Siegler. He does a great job leaning into pitches and staring them to the glove. There were times Murph praised him for his at bats. I never saw it. He did nothing to show he can hit at this level. For Wild Bill: exercise the option. Build goodwill with your best player and leader!
  6. Under no circumstances would I be trading Freddy. There is a good team here. Gotta take a shot every once in a while. Here is my crazy scenario: if Detroit makes Skubal available, I am at that table. Prospects like Pratt, one of Quero/Dinges, Pitchers like Gasser (not Miz or Logan Henderson). Baseball is about to change. Take a shot with what you have before a work stoppage. You roll with: 1. Skubal 2. Freddy 3. Woodruff on a one year prove it (he’s not getting a big deal). 4. Miz 5. Priester 6. Logan Henderson Hall, Patrick and Ashby are the 2 inning guys. Megill, Koenig, Uribe are the back end. Call me crazy! But let’s push some chips into the center and make a play.
  7. Strike zone is not consistent between Snell and Priester
  8. What the hell was PCA doing?
  9. Craig is always uptight. “Well, I guess they are doing a bullpen game, so we’ll have to figure it out.” The look on his face was tight. Murph is just cool and loose. The teams reflect that in these two games.
  10. No way am I trading Peralta. MKE is a World Series Contender. Freddy is their ace. And they have the top minor league system. Need to focus on this post season and next with the resources we have.
  11. You left off the best one! Best record in all of baseball! 162 game champions is pretty incredible. Whatever happens, I am grateful for this season! And excited for this post season and beyond!
  12. We’ll see! Good problems. Multiple guys making this tough.
  13. We’ll see! Good problems. Multiple guys making this tough.
  14. We’ll see! Good problems. Multiple guys making this tough.
  15. Bauers! Playing his way in on the post season. If somehow we have him as a lefty bat in October…..love that!
  16. I just want to say. There is NO scenario where I would be trading Freddy this off season. This is the window. Milwaukee is the best team in baseball on Labor Day Weekend and have the #1 minor league system. I have no idea what the post season has for us. But next year we are a WS favorite and instead of trading Freddy, I am looking to leverage that minor league system to find a Freddy or two to add in a good reasonable trade. Looking to add rather than subtract.
  17. Any chance Isaac Collins could be serviceable at 2B? When Chourio returns, you could roll with Collins at 2B, Jackson in left and Perkins in center. That lineup might be our best players we can have on the field come playoffs.
  18. Five Inning Freddy was cruising until turning into four inning Freddy. So frustrating. Need six from him today.! Was looking promising.
  19. The way I see it, it’s a good time to look for a Greinke trade (and I have no idea who that is). Chips we have to build around: 2B Turang DH Yelich LF Chourio C Contraras 1B Hoskins (bounce back year) 3B FA RF/CF Mitchell/Perkins/Frelick (in that order) RF/CF see above SS Ortiz SP Greinke type trade Myers Peralta Rea Woodruff Miso Pen: Hall Megill Hudson whatever else - lots of good options for the pen. (Can Ashby be a good pen option?) Bench: Frelick Haase Bauer whatever Trade Pieces Anyone not named including Devin. All prospects not named above are fair game. They can use Devin, or keep him. If they can swing a good trade for a Greinke type deal without loading up on prospects from a Devin Williams deal, then good. I’d rather have Devin back. They need an ace to win the whole thing. Maybe two more. Nothing should get in the way of that. The team is young. Use some prospects to take another swing.
  20. Myers getting out of 2 on and none out in the 6th with the heart of the lineup is my highlight in a game of highlights. Give him the 7th!
  21. Fansided has an article discussing Flaherty to MKE. I don’t follow our prospects much so not sure what to think of the return to DET: https://fansided.com/posts/mlb-rumors-jack-flaherty-trade-package-brewers-tigers/partners/36534?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0d5S4KETMSTRWA_oX6P2ipobY1_dm5WrvnwFVzNtSaUwMgOEDyJv7Tk74_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw
  22. Is it just me or is “JeffreyLeonard” not a perfect “handle” for this poster?
  23. I am just a lurker here, and really enjoy Brewers content from the site and the visitors. I just wanted to go on record to say that whether this deal works out or not, I am all in. With Milwaukee, you have to take risks that others do not have to take. Braun extensions, Yelich extension, this one. I love it. This is getting in the batters box and taking a swing management speaking. I like the idea of running it back with Burnes, Freddy, Miley and others. That relies on a hope of some combo of Turang, Frelick, Mitchell, Weimer and Churio having impact this season. It’s another bite at the Apple that we have seen other fringe teams deliver on including Arizona and the Nats. LET’S GOOOOOO!!!!
