  1. Would normally be the spot they use Strickland in. But he's having a baby. I hope his wife is the one having the baby It’s 2021. You’re not allowed to criticize which gender gives birth. C’mon man!
  2. Two questions: do you believe the team thinks it doesn’t matter? And if so, why are you and I even watching? Yes they do - hence why Woodruff was pulled with less than 70 pitches and why Adames isn't in the lineup. We're watching cause were Brewers fans (aka suckers) and we love this team even when the game means nothing Edit: Should have also added that we've seen enough crappy seasons from this team that when the great ones come around I don't wanna miss any of it I’m watching with the hope of seeing the Crew beat these birds up. No other motivation.
  3. Welcome to my radio- only world. No Usinger's or Cedarcrest in New Orleans. I noticed some Pretzilla at one store. Pretty good but ridiculously expensive. I’d trade local N’awlins cuisine for any Wisconsin food in a heartbeat. Back on topic - do you guys think Counsell has any pride to play for at this point? Or is he just going to coast into the playoffs. I’m OK with the latter, but man I want these Cardinals beat. Badly.
  4. I have an alibi - I missed it while putting the kids to bed. So I admit nothing. I’ve been meaning to tell you that it’s nice to hear from a Brewers fan in the GNO. When I was there I’m pretty sure I was the only one. But that was so long ago they didn’t even have a minor-league team. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
  5. Agree. Maybe it’s just my perception but it sure seems like the team plays better as a whole when he’s involved.
  6. Sunday night I went to espn.com to check in on general sports news. They had at the Cardinals winning streak as one of their headlines but not the Brewers division clinch. I rarely get upset about sports issues, but that really struck a nerve. A sweep to return the favor would be incredible right now.
  7. Was just thinking the same. 2 outs. Just focus on the hitter.
  8. That’s a golden sombrero for Lindor. Nice investment by the Mets.
  9. Here's an attempt at a translation:… Edited for space What an interesting translation. I see our understanding of the words “joe” and “works” differ. Where I see geopolitics, you see baseball. Given the forum this strange work was found in, I will concede to your judgment. I hope we meet again soon. Best, LP
  10. A classic “brewmann04ism” right there! I think joe=job and works=world. Or maybe it’s exactly what it says… Huh. I read it as a treatise on the recent AUKUS submarine deal. I found it insightful. Perhaps we should all give it another look?
  11. Burhler and Scherzer both have to play Colorado in Denver this week. The Rockies have been fantastic at home. If Scherzer in particular has a mediocre start, I’d think Burnes has a shot. But if Scherzer keeps pitching the way he has since he went to Los Angeles, I don’t see how he doesn’t win it.
  12. It’s still Craigtember friends! Where’s the confidence? 7 games against the Cards, and the Brewers need 2 wins. Or results in the other games these teams play. It’s not over til it’s over, but all of this worry can wait. Freddy’s up tomorrow. Go Crew!
  13. Just makes it a chance for the Brewers to really damage the Cards playoff hopes and spirits. Agree. I’m really looking forward to this next series. Sure would be nice to have a dramatic 9th inning win today, though.
  14. Padres haven’t lost yet. They just put up 3 in the 8th, still only 2 out.
  15. I wonder if Cubs fans feel safe with a 4 run lead in the eighth? I wouldn’t in their position.
  16. i'm shocked they've had 15 opportunities at a sweep. I’m shocked people actually attended a Marlins/Pirates game in Miami. Have the hostages been released?
  17. Yes… or at least he has played in the outfield previously in his professional career. Then they need to put him out there the remainder of the year and get him playoff ready. They can’t. They need to give JBJ time to work through his slump.
  18. That insurance run that Reyes provided with his outstanding baserunning on both the double and the play at home is looking huge right now.
  19. I think I read somewhere, not on this board, that they intend to keep a WC clinch low-key. Not sure exactly where I read that.
