  1. 97% accuracy, 98% consistency. He did great. 4 misses, all pretty close.
  2. Crazy - all Yelich has to do is hit safely in every game for the remainder of the regular season, and he will TIE Paul Molitor‘s 1987 hit streak. Really puts hit streaks into perspective.
  3. I peeked in at a Giants board a little bit ago. Apparently Giants fans hate these uniforms as much as we do. I guess they only wear them on Tuesday home games, so they have that going for them.
  4. I read somewhere that the Coens had Sam Elliot do one particular line like 13 times. After take 13 he asked them if there was something he could do differently. They said no. They got it on take two but just liked hearing him deliver the dialog. I size up people in my personal life by delivering this line (in a Sam Elliott drawl, of course) and seeing who gets it and who has no idea what I'm talking about. That must be exhausting.
  5. I would if I were Kapler. Two games coming up against the backside of the Brewers rotation, he has to figure those are the most winnable games. No need to burn the bullpen any further today. Welp, this didn’t age well.

  7. Yes. Down 10 after 2 innings should at least allow the losing manager the option to mercy out of the game. And mercy Lindblom off of the roster.
  8. I’m thankful that the Crew have been courteous enough to blow this game in the 1st. So much better than investing 6 or 7 innings’ time only to watch Lindblom blow it then.
  9. I loved when they did it to start the 2018 season (with Yelich and Cain making their Brewers debuts), but this one might be even sweeter considering the quality of competition. Agree on all counts. They just swept a very good team, on the road. Almost makes up for losing a home series to the Pirates
  10. I love it! In 2019, if Shaw would have gone cold like he has been for the last week, he would have pressed and changed his approach. This time he's still managed to put together some nice ABs, and has scalded some balls that just happened to he hit right at fielders. He's always going to be a streaky hitter, but so far, he's proven that he can be an overall asset. Hiura on the other hand ... Yes! I’m loving this Travis Shaw redemption story. Long may it live!
  11. I’m so happy to see Shaw play well. His last term with the Crew ended so badly, and brought Hiura up to the big leagues as a top prospect. If Hiura can get his act together soon this would be a perfect end to that saga.
  12. Could be a real glorious rule in any situation Hader can pitch the 10th. In theory that would be a real cool advantage. Absolutely is advantage MIL if Hader or Williams hasn't been used yet. I'm just not a big fan of the rule, especially when it goes away in the playoffs. If the gimmick isn't good enough for playoff baseball, don't use it. Hader with an absolutely filthy inning. I completely agree with everything you said. Thanks for saving me some keystrokes!
