This type of homerism is, however, completely in line with home plate ump D.J. Reyburn's "style." In 27 games behind the plate this season, the home team sports a nice 18-9 win/loss record. Yeah, this could be a coincidence but it's well known there's some umps out there that much prefer having the home crowd off their back. Just human nature and some can't rise above it. I'm not saying Reyburn wants the home team to win, there's probably just some unconscious bias involved.
