    Frelick quietly raising his average to .269 and on base up to .352. They may never have high power numbers but it certainly makes a nice addition to a lineup if you can bracket him with some run producers.

    Sure is nice having an offense that a three-run deficit is not a death sentence. But on the negative side it's going to need more offense to make up for the mash unit that the starting rotation is.

    There's such a fine line between swinging hard and swinging out of control. It took me into my twenties to figure out I actually hit balls harder more consistently when I dial back the effort by about 10%. Out of control swings tend to get longer and your head and body start dropping.

    There's been some good baseball in this game but there's been a whole lot of bad baseball as well. Errors, hit batters, base running blunders.
