  1. Collins and Durbin are O.K. until/unless in system youth supplants. They are bulldogs who have surprised with playing time and added a spark both on offense and defense. 1B remains an open question pending Vaughn's performance. Perhaps he's the real deal and can man the position until some minor league stud shows up.
  2. Didn't Dalbec have better numbers? (Then he goes and strikes out 5 times Sunday. Ouch.)
  3. If Black is a "slugging prospect," I need that term clarified.
  4. Dare I whisper William lose a few pounds to help keep the spring in his step?
  5. Lethal??? Historically, the best hitters have the best bat speeds? Cherry picking won't hack it.
  6. There IS a question about his bat to ball skills. And they better improve quickly.
  7. Agree. Play him every day in spring training. SOMEWHERE. If the bat is NG, play him every day in the minors. SOMEWHERE. His last year to see if his bat proves worthy. No bat, no field--no trade value.
  8. Any history of identical injuries being completely overcome surgically? I.e., the odds he's ever 100% again?
  9. Sánchez and Haase were "strong bats?" Also, how many teams carried three catchers? Lastly, if Quero pans out to be better than sliced bread, Contreras could slip to 1B. That was talked about prior to Quero's injury saving Contreras's legs. If both are studs, that's the best day to day lineup.
  10. Me thinks this is the only time anyone has connected "lethal swing" with Turang.
  11. Can we expect that he will improve at. the plate in the coming years?
  12. As it sits today, Black is worthless. Trade him??? And Chourio is the only outfield bat scaring anyone with anything but speed.
  13. Frelick: more power means more money. Swing changes follow. Chourio: any "needed adjustments" don't happen riding the bench no matter pitcher quality.
