  1. Nice to see wong get on base three times tonight He needs to be a spark im not watching. Is yelich just lost at the plate? I mean this is beyond concerning now
  2. I never ever ever ever want to leave this division as long as the pirates are still in it
  3. Stearns and counsell should be here a long time if I had my way
  4. The one to navrarez will be the worst strike call of the year i will guarantee it. There is no way you can call that a strike
  5. I couldn’t tell if this game was more boring than the new Batman movie I just watched at least the game a good ending
  6. I can’t believe we have to fly back tonight to just fly back to PA on tuesday lets just get a win and hit the ball
  7. Unexpected win the way this game started. Get ‘em tomorrow
  8. Was he not available in the 8th yesterday or was counsell afraid to use him i mean devin
  9. Agree. The ability to measure spin rate has changed pitching more than anything in my opinion. Pitchers didn’t have those tools to work on before
  10. That is true. It’s too hard to have a whole dissertation on this subject on a game thread. It’s the idea of having a bunch of guys in the bullpen who are good too. Compared to the past when bullpen guys were considered failed pitchers. it’s hard to explain it all here. But I think it’s silly that these batters shouldn’t be able to adapt some instead of throwing up their hands and say I’m just going to bat .190 for a career there are things they can do. Players always adapt throughout history
  11. You are also forgetting that batting styles nowadays are basically going to made for more outs. And defensive shifts. I do agree that pitchers throw harder but I’ve spoken to many coaches and they acknowledge measuring pitch speed etc is a lot more precise. I. E. The guns are better/inflated compared to the 80s It’s just a different way of playing. If they do end up getting rid of the shifts I do wonder if a team who tries to hit more liners (less launch angle) could score more runs against these pitchers im not saying they would It would be interesting
  12. I figured this series would get ugly after not stealing that one yesterday cripes
  13. That’s why you rather be facing him when it’s a down stretch than when he’s 3-0 with a 0.50 era Even though it would be a small sample size
  14. Is it me or do dodgers fans have the most in stands fights in mlb history
