  1. I dont think it matters. Our aces can get beat like the rest of them. Its pretty bad right now. these games dont matter brigade has made it through to the clubhouse. You cant even complain about being tired. Every player has had weeks off from covid vacations or twisted ankles or whatever. Plus we had two days off last week. and a six man rotation. The brewers are probably the most rested team in MLB at this point. This is just nonsense to get swept in four games at home at this point in the season when the games are not meaningless
  2. Brewers aren't being "punked" at all this is the result of a team that has a lot less to play for right now. No reason at all to try to line up your stud pitchers to face the Cardinals at this point. This team needs to basically lose out in order to lose the division, and if they do that, that means they were playing bad enough baseball where it wasn't going to matter if they were starting Anderson twice in that stretch or not. Anderson has been serviceable enough this year where you don't expect him to give up 6 runs in 1 and 2/3rds innings. Obviously if they expected that they wouldn't have started him. Best case you get 4 solid innings out of him and are in the game, worst case is what happened tonight. Either way, your studs are still getting their rest and ready for the real games in 2 weeks. The brewers have a freaking lot to play for and it’s staring them right in the face after they get their rear ends swept tomorrow. That could easily the last 6 games of the season. The way this garbage is going Which leaves them to try to salvage something against the Mets. If they suck it up against the Mets this has all time disaster written all over it
  3. 2-0 after the first. I knew it This is a joke now.
  4. I'll be on the edge of my seat tonight with how much is at stake... Scenario 1: Brewers win Odds of winning division before game: >99.9% Odds of winning division after game: >99.9% Scenario 2: Brewers lose Odds of winning division before game: >99.9% Odds of winning division after game: >99.9% So it’s not 100%
  5. …and if not that one, then the next day! In all seriousness if they can win one game in this series then I’m pretty confident they’ll still clinch the division with more than a week to go in the season. Getting one has been the goal since Monday. But now that the two most favorable pitching matchups have passed and the offense is still showing no signs of life, getting that one is getting harder every day. I’m not real confident that Anderson will be able to keep the ball in the park against the sluggers in the middle of the Cardinal order. Anderson will be down 2 or 3-0 before we get to bat tomorrow
  6. The brewers have played completely crap baseball for a week and a half now. Thank god we played the cubs last weekend. The brewers aren’t sweeping the Mets so are we really going to go into next cardinals and dodgers series needing to win games to clinch My god.
  7. It’s probably time to start getting The whos going to pitch the wild card game thread going
  8. Where in the heck is Taylor. How many minor league games does he need to play. Get jbj the freak out of the lineup. God
  9. It would cost the Brewers a ton, an absolute metric ton to get out from under that contract, in the unlikely event they could find a taker. I think right now, their honest to gosh best bet is to go into 2022 hoping that he gets right over the winter and gets back to Florida Marlins level Yelich, or even something resembling that. Trying to trade him now would be disastrous. That’s my feeling too.
  10. Does Yelich have any trade value in today’s Major League Baseball It’s interesting in the current market what the value of a Yelich and that contract is
  11. So far Lester has out pitched burnes woodruff and peralta Jesus At least we had the miracle comeback last game
  12. So we are going to have to beat the cardinals twice this week
  13. That’s just mental at this point. This guy isn’t this bad. But he let this season get to him
  14. I know that. But I guarantee if you if it as the playoffs both of those guys would be playing today with their niggling injuries Or at least one of them over jbj Yes probably Garcia but not Cain …..but Brewers are doing the prudent thing so why complain? Whos complaining. It’s an off the cuff half a joke comment God. Sometimes I think I joined the players families or parents board
  15. Cain and Garcia are hurt.....jbj is gonna play. I know that. But I guarantee if you if it as the playoffs both of those guys would be playing today with their niggling injuries Or at least one of them over jbj
  16. Any lineup with jbj in it constitutes a Sunday lineup Btw I know what a ghost runner is. I just like calling it that because extra innings in mlb is like what you make up in your backyard with a whiffle bat
  17. I can’t believe the Padres are still pitching arrieta Quick question. I’m assuming the playoffs go back to normal for extra innings. No ghost runner on second
