  1. Whats crazy is that Aguilar has had only one year as a full time starter in the majors and it was better than any Shaw or Moose has produced. and 2017 season where he wasn't necessarily a "full time starter" was pretty much better than almost every season Shaw or Moose had. I don't know what to do with Aguilar yet? Do you give up on him and basically give him to another team and he OPS .850 or higher so the rest of the year. Or do you give him as many chances as Travis Shaw gets Shaw is a better fielder and provides more value playing third base but I have always thought of Aguilar as a more talented hitter and this goes back to 2017 spring training. Maybe it just clicks again and we see the easy power he has again, etc. But for crissakes hes making it harder and harder each day
  2. Its crazy how our offense has been really good with guys like Shaw and Aguilar completely falling apart and Cain's regression Thank god for Moose and Grandal This year could have already been a disaster without those signings
  3. Our record is as good as it is because a lot of what you're saying here is overstated. I mean, i get it. When this team plays bad, they look really bad. For the most part the starting staff and the pen have been solid. It's just when there are blow-ups, they are bad, and it leaves an ugly picture in everyone's mind. There also might be a correction coming up. Our run differential is not that great. Now the next two months they are playing a softer schedule so maybe they can get things right during that time. You might not really know what this team really is until dog days of August Would anyone be surprised if they go on a bad streak sometime soon too? I really don’t know what to think of this team
  4. I’m almost positive counsell DH’d one time and I thought it was during his horrendous streak but maybe that was a baseball nightmare I had growing up. Had to sleep with the lights on for a month
  5. Hopefully Shaw gets that seeing eye single tonight in a ten run game so he can get another 200 at bats this year
  6. Oh yeah, well the brewers are rolling with a lineup with pitchers hitting in their 7 and 8 spots despite having the DH available! It’s still better than when we had to DH counsell that one year That has to be the worst DH in baseball history
  7. Can you win a division when 2 out of 5 rotation spots are going to give up a ten spot no matter what team you are playing. It has to be frustrating standing out there in the field watching this garbage Hernan perez might lead the league in appearances the way this is going
  8. The best thing about the astros moving to the AL was not having to play In this abortion of a ballpark ten times a year
  9. Why is Cain so poopy this year. He always looks like body parts are going to start falling off when he walks around
  10. Thames has done a heckuva job so far this year. Personally, I was taken aback that he actually was even on the roster at the beginning of the year. We will see where he’s at by year end. But at least he’s playable. Aguilar has been such a disappointment. I thought he would regress but I never thought it would get this bad into June. I don’t know if the light will come on for him or Shaw this year
  11. First post ever on the in game thread (or anywhere) Let me get this all out of the way because Im a little behind "We have the worst hitting team in baseball" "We have to be the worst team in the history of baseball in getting someone home from third" "Why didn't they bunt" "we strikeout too much" "(name player on the roster) needs to be sent down or cut" "worst starting pitching in the majors" "worst relief staff in the majors" "worst baserunning team in the majors" "worst defense in the majors" "we will never win another the game" "counsell should be fired" "screw the cardinals" Did I miss anything? Now that's out of the way it can only go up from there!!!! A split with the Astros would be fine this week. As a Brewers fan that lives in Chicago last year was brilliant and compound that with the Cubs fans being overconfident after signing Kimbrel it would be sweet to finish ahead of them again.
