    The only thing that’s keeping this pitching staff from being elite (obviously they are still very good) is the tendency to give up the gopher ball. If they could keep it in the park a little more they are going to be tough to score on even more than they are now

    The brewers are just hot Milwaukee was in first place all year with a bunch of players that were underperforming. Almost everyone save for a few counsell held them together. And now they are starting to perform and they can’t lose. craig needs to stay

    Wild card is so hard to handicap because so many of teams play each other and someone has to lose. But someone also has to win so a lot of these teams will be winning by default too i don’t put a lot of stock into these playoff odds models but the brewers have a really good chance now. It would be surprising if they tanked this

    So now we are winning games 9-8, 10-6, 8-7. Never thought I’d see that with this team

    The brewers are 6 games up on reds and 8 on giants for last wild card spot. brewers are looking pretty good right now

    Can I say that I’ve been a member of the hoby Milner appreciation club when it wasn’t cool. 😀 also. Yelich carried us when everyone on the team was hitting poorly. And now the rest of the team has returned the favor lately. It’s ok if he starts hitting again. We are going to need him to do something the rest of the year

    To me. This is the simplest part of the analysis. We were the worst offense in the NL. now we aren’t. That’s why we are winning.

    I don’t even know if I would fault the padres. The numbers say they should be winning. Sometimes teams just lose. Next year they could be really good again

    It defies logic that the Padres are this bad. They have the given up the least amount of runs in national league and with that lineup they have there is no way they should be 8 games under.
