  1. Happened last year too, all the way to the extra game. It’s called a pennant race, it was fun. I get it’s July, but any time the Brewers are close enough to the division lead for it to be relevant, I’m good with it. It’s like the old spouse snoring story. If we fall completely out of the race we’ll wish it was relevant enough to be mentioned... lol Your first sentence is fine. Then you said it, you get it. Its July. I mean you do you. It was my opinion that it annoys me to see it over and over. I mean I wish I had that much free time to follow the Buccos Cards and Cubs. Jeez. Share some of that free time with me. Ty, for explaining what a pennant race is btw.
  2. Lol, I never heard anyone ever ever ever say or insinuate wins in September count differently then April. Or maybe I missed that. Lots of strawmanning. Thanks tho. It's just my opinion, a relatively mild one too.
  3. You missed the point Brewcrewin07 Constant cub highlights and complaining about how lucky the cubs are, ha never been such a huge part of. IGTs as it is now. It's all this worrying about what you cant control... Seems some worry more about the cubs game going on then a brewers game on at same time
  4. "I must not be a fan of baseball"? Lol, I dont argue people who strawman what I say. I stopped doing that. What I say again will be followed with another strawman and repeat. I talk baseball.
  5. Thames currently has the second highest OPS (.884) and OPS+ (125) on the team behind only Yelich. He has been better than okay, in my opinion. Thames Huira Yelich Braun Moose needs to be moved down a bit.
  6. Cool. Doesnt change anything. Shaw updates Grisham updates And What happened in the cubs games. 3 mainstays in every igt. For better or worse.
  7. So they're beating the teams they should beat, which is what we failed to do in June. Nothing we can do about it but deal with it and try to improve ourselves. This constantly living and dying with every Cubs win or loss in July isn't productive at all. This is getting old. I thought only noobs to baseball did this. Sweat the standings in June and July. I could care less what the Cubs, in fact I dont wanna know. But its brought up multi times every game thread so.
  8. We finally get the Jesus we remembered from last year. The good Jesus, and dont use him ad much as we should.
  9. Again, to those who keep bringing this up. Where he gonna play? Moose been struggling a bit, maybe give Moose a break or platoon and ride the hotter one? Other wise your not sitting Huira for him. I mean I assume they are not that dumb. I'm glad Shaw is having success in the minors and the Brewers dont rush it and try and squeeze him in somewhere. Let him have a strong end to the month then re evaluate. He could play 1st...I mean Thames has been okay, but that's the logical spot to play Shaw, especially IF they somehow move Thames in a trade, and maybe that's Stearns's thought process. he was asked about Shaw a week or so ago and said "we'll find a spot for a productive player", but then wouldn't speculate as to how they'd find a place for him. He also HAS played a couple of games in his career in LF...granted it was awhile ago and it was a small sample size..but he's done it. Aguilar already barely gets at bats. Shaw comes up and takes more away from him. Idk, if anyone else notice how hot Jesus is playing. Playing better then Thames. Over 17 games or whatever. He needs to play more.
  10. One of these days Counsell will go with Huira in the top 3. And will stick with it. I have been complaining for 4 games about that now. Craig is trying to be cute. Heck maybe a Huira Yelich Aguilar top 3..those are the 3 hottest bats on team, also Braun had been hot, not Yelich or Huira hot. Huira, Yelich , Braun Something like that. Huira Yelich Aguilar Braun Cain Grandal Moose- Moose has a couple OBP guys ahead of him, people to drive in, I know Cain has been reaching base more. Arcia This would never happen. And prob wouldnt work. Just thought it looked good in my eyes This lineup is based on playing off the strengths of the players ahead of you. Also the Cain Grandal Moose 5-7 would be like a middle of the order 1 2 3 Also why I ain't a manager.
  11. Honestly, I think counsell was doing something about the clubhouse. I have no evidence of that. But I’m making an educated guess. Perez leaving. Arcia being benched. Something seemed weird about it Ok, let's go with your theory. Aguilar swinging a really hit bat and he isnt seeing the time he should. Dude had been red hot, why waste him? Aguilar had a hige presence in club house too, so then by your logic that would explain Aggy not playing much. Perez Arcia Aggy seemed like the life of the club house to be honest...why would Counsell wanna screw with something that's been very good to this team. Not many if any teams at least it seems have the same type of cohesion the brewers do.
  12. 13. I love the move Ever since I heard the rumors, I've been praying Bucks sign him. We needed a J Reddick type SHARP shooter that wanted to be here. Korver about to get a ring and retire.
  14. I disagree. The Brewers roster has two types of players...players under achieving and players achieving what’s expected of them. There really isn’t anyone overachieving, which shows you were better than we’ve been playing. Edit) the one player you might say is exceeding expectations is Thames What about Burch Smith AKA Mr. Bean. Hes over exceeding expections!!!!
  15. Stand by that? Everyone could play this game all day long. My overall point, is a guy up(Shaw) and not have a spot to play, versus having an arm in the pen, that we arent sure on if they were good or not, which is sad to say. And obviously we found out he is not good. But maybe I rather have another pitcher up when Jackson goes down. Not Shaw. Our bullpen needs all they help they can get. Maybe Burch will miraculously turn into something. He looked good tonight....mb it's a start, idk. But we should probably get another pen arm up when Jackson goes down. And I'll say to bad for him man, he obviously worked very hard to get here. Wish he could had a little success for the team and himself.
