  1. Marcum is the ace Brewers can't hit worth a lick Thirteen and Eighteen
  2. For awhile there Fielder and Braun were unstoppable. Now they both can't buy a hit. Our offense really does sink or swim with those two. Sucks for Marcum that he gets a no-decision here. He deserved better.
  3. Nice seeing you for 2 games, Nyjer. Back to a Gomez-only CF for awhile.
  4. I think Rogers is far off from stepping foot on another major league mound. He can't find the strikezone. His k/bb ratio is one of the worst I've ever seen for a minor league pitcher.
  5. Marcum is the ace of this staff, hands down. Good to see he's on the hill to stop the bleeding tonight. The dude is just a bulldog out there.
  6. Gotta love our free swingers...I see even Melvin is getting worried with his quote in between games: "We've got to start getting some wins on the board," said Melvin. "It's a combination of a lot of things right now. But I'm not in a panic mode or anything. We need to start putting it together."
  7. The one positive about all these errors is we don't have to listen to these announcers claiming we have a good defense...since that was their only variable in the equation.
  8. For the record, I would NOT be surprised if they got shut out. Hard to imagine them stringing together more than 1 hit vs. Hudson.
  9. Rock with a subtle jab at Gallardo with his comment about "top of the line starter" noting that Hudson and Greinke "trust their fastballs" and don't nibble with breaking balls early on in the counts to try and get up on hitters. And he mentioned they work fast too, whereas they just tried increasing the tempo of Gallardo. Anyone else think that?
  10. The way every batter swings for the fences, I could definitely see a no-hitter from Hudson tonight.
  11. You expected the defense would suck and the Braves would dump a couple balls in for hits? I hope no one expected Greinke to strike out every batter but you really seem to be pressing your prediction a bit hard.I always have that expectation.
  12. About what I expected from Zack so far. Not sharp at all and very hittable. I knew the hype wagon would be disappointed today.
  13. Just waiting for Rock and BA to sit and praise the opposing pitcher as the reason why the Brewers' bats aren't working.
  14. 33 pitches. Not good at all. Especially with a bullpen that was pressed hard in Game 1.
  15. Part of my fears were that he'd labor through the 1st inning. Not that it's his fault with these errors.
  16. E-3 Our defense has been good so far this year because we don't make errors. Oh wait...
  17. The Brewers are huge favorites, so use that intuition and put your money where you mouth is. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gifI'd bet but it's probably not condoned here. I will be rooting for him, obviously, but I'm fairly certain he will have a horrible first start. I'm not saying this to spark people, but rather because his minor league starts were pretty unimpressive and this Braves lineup is potent. I hope I'm wrong, but just remember who said it first.
  18. Not only will we lose this one, I have a feeling this day is going to get so much worse. Greinke will get shelled today. Too many good lefties for the Braves to face him in his first game back.
  19. I'm sure Rick Schlesinger has his fingers crossed that Greinke doesn't show up like a dud early on in the season aka Gallardo or internally there will be people sweating. No problem if they're sweating - they'll have a towel! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gifTouche. Bases loaded. This one might get out of hand real soon.
  20. "The Brewers are having a tough time defensively on this road trip. 6th error" - Rock Wasn't he praising the D just a few days ago...because of the lack of errors?
  21. I'm sure Rick Schlesinger has his fingers crossed that Greinke doesn't show up like a dud early on in the season aka Gallardo or internally there will be people sweating.
