Bad: Leaving work 45 minutes early to get to a TV to make sure I caught the beginning of the game. Evil: Catching the beginning of the game. But... Good: Finding out that my local here in San Francisco, a 2 minute walk from my place, has the satellite baseball package so I can watch the Brewers pretty much every game of the year, many on FSN Wisconsin (you guys wouldn't believe what a salve Menard's commercials can be!).
And you're venting because of this? I took that as a good thing, not something to vent about. Well, I say this as an avid reader (not contributor) to the forum, it just means a larger noise to signal ratio here. For the rest of the site, it's great.
I just got back from work and only have the box score to go by...why would Ned ask Hall to bunt with a man on 2nd, no outs and a 2-4 night under his belt to that point
I was telling someone here the other day that growing up in Florida in the 80s I never knew if they won or anything until I saw the box score the next day...now I'm going ape because I can't get the up-to-the-second. I suppose it's an improvement.
This show has not jumped the shark yet, but they better be careful. The show is in its prime. Everyone gets over things so quickly these days I suppose, especially comedies.
Are they smart with these contracts? No. Do they have to be? Absolutely not. That's what's so frustrating about it. Obviously, overspending isn't a cure-all, either, so there's that.
If you're a Crew fan in Chicago, come on out to Wrigley tonight...there are plenty of super cheap tickets available on the street. Even the brokers are selling at a deep discount
