  1. That was fun … except we didn’t hit, pitch or field the ball very well
  2. Who are the announcers? It seems they are guessing at the pronunciation of players names. Fun game - great idea. Hated to see Quero get hit on the hand. The camera work is terrible.
  3. Those two sentences appear to contradict one another While batting average may not be the only OR most important stat … it does matter & it is significant … IMHO 😊
  4. I’m glad Chapman didn’t end up with the Cubbies I would have been thrilled for Milwaukee to sign him for 3 years & $54M I’m fine with the frugal decision my management to roll with the youngsters - great days ahead I’m excited for this year - not knowing where we will be come October It will be a fun season with lower expectations I’m glad we will welcome so many of our prospects to the MLB roster
  5. Rosiak quoted Murph saying Miley was 50/50 to be ready for the season opener any details available on his potential injury?
  6. According to Rosiak this afternoon - Murphy said Miley is 50/50 for being ready for Opening Day.
  7. It appears he will be their backup SS … if true - that’s a bad decision
  8. After reading the entire thread - I like the Taylor/Houser trade for Crow & the addition of Junis 😇
  9. Aoki … three syllables in four letters … impressive & hard to do!
  10. I’m not sure anyone would feel great if he had a gun to his head … 😉
  11. In 2023 - Burnes, Woodruff, & Houser combined for 64 starts - 372 innings - 3.41 ERA I’m actually excited to see what the 2024 rotation looks like - including which pitchers make up these innings & what the overall production looks like as the season progresses I hope Peralta & Miley stay healthy & eat innings while we cobble together the remainder of the starting rotation I may be wrong, but I believe we have enough arms & talent among the mix of veterans & youngsters to be competitive in the NL Central once again this year I’m ready for baseball … the Bucks have been terribly disappointing after losing Jrue Holiday & adding Damian Lillard … I’d rather watch the youth movement of the Brewers - especially with expectations lower than in previous years
  12. As I consider the 2024 Brewers approach to cobbling its pitching staff together, I was reflecting on the changes to the game of baseball in my lifetime. 1971 was a remarkable year in baseball. I was 10 years old & I already loved baseball. I found is fascinating that one team could have four 20-game winners in the same season. Little did I know that this was rare indeed & would never be repeated. What an interesting article - well worth your time: https://www.mlb.com/orioles/news/featured/4-x-20-orioles-1971-season-is-one-for-the-books-title-or-not
  13. My bad … in addition to Sheehan - Stone? Rivers?
  14. I would love Sheehan & Frasso in return for Adames & Williams via trade. I could get excited about the 2024 Brewers after that exchange.
  15. I was about to write an identical post & saw yours … I would be thrilled if somehow Milwaukee could land Emmet Sheehan in a deal for Adames &/or Williams. I would make that trade all day every day. A young, controllable, quality SP like Sheehan would be exactly what the Brewers need to compete this year & beyond. We could slowly transition DL Hall from reliever back to starter to offset the loss of Williams & immediately use Ortiz as our starting SS. I hope this trade happens today!
  16. I love Miley & I’m glad we re-signed him for 2024. I hope he can stay healthy & give us 25+ starts & possibly 150 innings. But he is older (age 37) & fragile.
  17. Wait until May? June?
  18. Has Janson Junk signed in Japan yet? If he doesn’t get a job there - Is he still under contract with Milwaukee & in the mix? If he remains with the Brewers - Is he a bullpen arm or a starter?
  19. Gumby was fun … he rivaled Yogi Berra for awkward quotes - referred to as Gumbyisms! This trio (Molitor, Yount, & Gantner) played together longer than any MLB trio in history - 15 years, I believe.
  20. All three professional teams got better with these three moves - Bucks: Griffin OUT, Packers: Barry OUT, Brewers: Hoskins IN 🎉
  21. Twins fan … What can you expect? 😬
