Canha is probably the guy they would try and move, not Baty.

Not surprising, everyone just assumed he was immediately available because of Correa, but no way they give a guy like that up with all that control.

I'd rather just have them trade Burns now rather than wait another year and diminish our return. I think it is a foredrawn conclusion that there isn't a chance in hell we can resign Burnes. To be honest, same with Adames. We would be hurting without them, but to maximize return, the sooner the better.

Cubs are getting better. Just signed Taillon. I know there are those who will dismiss every move they make, just like they do when the Cardinals make moves and get better, but every time they get a little better, they provide more of a thorn in our side.

Rosenthal also notes that Turner can earn up to an additional $1 million in incentives for plate appearances ($200,000 each for 480, 500, 520, 540 and 560) in 2023.

Now I see this, which is it? According to Joon Lee and Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Red Sox have reached an agreement on a contract with free agent third baseman Justin Turner. Jon Heyman of the New York Post adds that it'll be a $14 million deal for the 2023 season with an $8 million player option for the 2024 season. Considering the Red Sox already have Rafael Devers entrenched at third base -- and Triston Casas ready to take over full-time at first base -- expect the 38-year-old to see the bulk of his playing time in the designated hitter slot in the lineup.

Looks like Turner is signing with the Red Sox, 2 years, just under 22 million. We couldn't have done 2 years 23 or 24 million to lure him in? Who has a better shot at the playoffs, Boston or Milwaukee? He simply wants to play in a large market, which is fine, but frustrating.

I'm mildly ok with rolling with Urias at 3B full time, and not jerking him around the infield at a different position every other day if that means we are going to go with Turang at 2B, and let the kid play. I have come to accept that we won't be able to pry Turner away from LA, even though I'm not 100% sold that he will be that great anyway. Urias isn't sexy, but hopefully he can get the job done, and if not, we can get something cooking at the trade deadline for a legit 3B.
